  • The music just makes it that much more funny... I think im turning blue because I can't breathe... laughing too dang hard

  • Poor cato and poor dreyfus, clouseau always wins. :)

  • @clouseau187 brilliant deduction as usual my Clouseau187 coming from Clouseau186

  • @clouseau186 I just wish there were more of us. We need clouseau188, 189, 190, 191 and so on to bring our clouseau army to its maximum power.

  • Mir kommen schon die Tränen. Einfach göttlich!!!

  • I love this them song. It's just pure Clouseau.

  • @Nobody297SRS **theme. Gah. Stupid keyboard.

  • This is the movie when Dreyfuss finally gets nuts and try to finish Clouseau? great movie...we all love Clouseau =)

  • Love the look on his face when the draw bridge is coming down and Clouseau is trying to paddle backwards. Sellers was a genius. RIP

  • Me and my Dad always laugh so much at this bit, not only at Sellers, but the music itself if simply hilarious, one day he looked at me and said: "Who ACTUALLY sat down and wrote this compostion?"

To which I replied with: "A genius, father!"

    His reply: "Agreed!"

  • The last part with the branch is so priceless and yet so simple! Such a fantastic film

  • Does anyone know if the music used here has a name? It sounds like some sort of classical piece, and for whatever reason, I have been able to remember the tune instantly. If it does have a name, I would really appreciate knowing it.

  • @googlemeister94 After some research, I found that the song is called: "The Inspector Clouseau Theme (From the Pink Panther Strikes Again)". Believe it or not, it's available on itunes (For once).

  • @googlemeister94

Yes, that's Henry Mancini - one of the greatest film composers of past century. John Williams played the piano in his band, but back then they just called him Johnny ;) You can find couple other very famous pieces by Mancini if you Google him

  • EPIC!

  • Lots of stunt doubles, like with the pole vaulting... regardless, cried laughing the first time!

  • The stunt doubles were necessary because Peter Sellers' heart condition already was very bad during the time they shot this movie, four years before his untimely death in 1980. I read somewhere he was very weak at times, so they decided to have many scenes shot without him.

  • Thanks so much for posting probably the funniest scene of Sellers as the bumbling moustached karate chopping idiot and genius as Clouseau. Brilliant.

  • No problem, this is my favorite scene of the movie.

  • @FiReSTarTeR7ii You should be congratulated. Poor Cato and poor Dreyfus Clouseau always wins

  • Oh man, this still makes me cry laughing. I saw this at the cinema during the 70's and it made me cry then, and I'm crying now. Sellars was a brilliant comic actor.

Now excuse me while I wipe my eyes! :)

  • Really now, I seem to be the only one that hasn't seen it in theaters. I probably did cry also when I watched it for the first time.

  • @VainEldritch u and me both saw it in movies when i was 10..now im crying like ive never laughed b4..."swine net"

  • @ThePass1967 I was born in 1967 and cannot remember laughing as much as I did with such classic slapstick. "Swine whatever" genius. Brilliant.

  • what is the name of this song???

  • I'm sorry but I don't know, but if you find out tell me please!

  • haahhahaahaahhaaha lmfao!!! n1 dude ;0

  • ok, lmfao!!!

  • yeah, uh that about sums it up. n1?

  • Yes, I agree. Was lucky to see "Revenge..." at the pictures with my parents when I was 12 and have been a Panther & Sellers fan ever since.

  • wow, lucky, when i first watched it was on dvd

  • @hulotati Was the cinema full?

  • Fantastic clip. Slapstick when done right is unbeatable. Always remember that it was used on the news back in1980 when Sellers died.

  • Peter Sellers Pink Panther > Steve Martin Pink Panther, personally this one and Revenge of the Pink Panther are definitely my favorites.

  • The pleasant but plodding music is just perfect for this scene, too. Henry Mancini was as much a genius as sellers, the combination making such a classic scene, character, movie and series. God, they don't make them like this anymore - silliness with.... class.

  • So true, sadly

  • yep

  • "Swine moat!"

I remember almost dying with laughter the first time I saw this as a kid.

Also love the interrogation scene earlier in this film:

    - "But that's a priceless Steinway!!"

    - "Not any more".

  • "A cook who thinks he's a gardener"

  • Peter is the best......

  • Definitely......
