I actually find it rather pretty, ergonomic (which DOES matter), quick to work with. Also if gear is of a very high quality, its generally pretty. There are exceptions (gems in the rough etc). My Neve mic preamp is home made, and in an ugly project box. But it still has that Neve sound :P

Why do you give a shit if it's ugly? The whole point is to be able to control your DAW, not check it out. Products are more about there functionality rather than their looks.
