Not really. I have rebooted it multiple times but it's still not working. I can only access the internet when I plug it in. My wireless card isn't working so I have limited access when it comes to the internet.

In Linux the command should so something like this:

"iwconfig wlan0 mode managed"

And you must be root.

Bridge the connections, i did something like this and the same thing happened,i bridged the connections then later on i "un-bridged" them and they both worked o.o

cschalluspgh, actually you are both right. Since WPA2 needs dictionaries there are some countries in the world that have a limited amount of dictionary files/lists in their native language..so some local would have to invent the dictionary. :)

first of all the only safe device that can hook to the internet at all is one that is turned off. and second of all their are security systems that after the wpa2 encryption code is broken the admin or the man ho bought the router has to log into an account on the internet allowing that computer t have acces to it, and still the one registering it into the network must have an ip and serial number on the display for systems logged on currntly,

yeah , having several layers of security can scare away the average hacker but to the well educated hacker this still may be difficult to infiltrate but can be bypassed but then again to the avergae hacker this may be impossible. As for my self my settings are something like this for my wifi Do not broadcast SSID, WPA2 security and Filter MAC address so only MAC address on the list are allowed to get an IP which again is Static.

I dp understand there are many ways to better secure a wlan. A good way also to confuse wardrivers is to create fake AP's, making fake AP's creates thousands of fake AP's to confuse the wardrivers. Trying to crack thousands of AP's to get to urs will have the give up.

Yes. Depending on your network hardware. Check aircrack's FAQ/compat section. You're going to need a live-boot distro such as Backtrack, WHAX, or Pentoo. Learn the commands and get busy.

Nice. It is actually pretty easy to do. But the ndiswrapper driver doesn't allow airoplay to send packets to a wireless node, which is annoying.
