Can someone help me ressolve my question?

I want to play both stroies at the same time, but i fear that when i finish one, i'll have to play the other from the beggining again (by requeriment of the game....). So my question is this: Can i play both stories at the same time and it'll count as if i did, nor i will have the need to play and finish one of them a second time

BAttle System reminds me of Riviera

@xKnighttimex lolwut? the battle system is nothing like Riviera. Except the thing that they fill up on the top left screen, I can't see anymore comparison.

@xKnighttimex It isn't items but skills. Items that are usable here doesn't fill up the gauge. :/ Plus the guy isn't only the main here. You will be prompt at your first new game which main will you use. either the guy or the girl. Still too far for comparison IMO.

First playthrough of Riviera, I didn't know how to lvl, and I forgot about training. So I kept dying and getting handicapped, until the end of the game, when I could barely scratch Hector. Had to start over xD

The Chara Design looks like Grandia 2. But the battle systeme reminds me Final Fantasy X with CTB at the top right of the screen.
