It is surprising to me that people think Global Warming is a ploy. I remember when I was a kid, thats some 20 years ago, we had lots of snow in the winter (in Denmark). Now there is no snow.

Science predicting Global Warminig has been around for over a hundred years, the science was clear in the 80's.

Capitalism has somehow made us ignore facts, its like using your credit card and not checking the bank statements. I guess the credit crunch is a symptom of our greed.

Global Warming is happening. Everyone who knows the deal agrees on that. The trouble is that some people, especially the envirofascists and the UN, falsely claim that it is caused by human activities when in fact it is clearly proven that is it a natural occurrence.

Facts:

CO2 do not cause global warming.

A warmer climate makes the oceans absorb less CO2 Thus, a warmer climate creates a higher amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.

There is a 300 year lag for the CO2 increase.

Fact: The increase and decrease of CO2 follow AFTER the global temperature's increase and decrease with a 300 year lag due to the fact that the oceans take long while to heat up.

Fact: The "Facts" the UN presents on this topic are not based on results gained from use of the scientific method. They get them from politically drafted policies telling them what their results should be. Scientists who protest against this and leave are not removed from the list of "supporting scientists".

The problem is that a few scientists, sponsored by for example Exxon Mobil are continuing to fund climate skeptic groups. Its like back in the 60s where tobacco industry claim smoking is good "my local GP smokes Camel".

Only difference is now its not the GP that dies from lungcancer, its the world that turns into a dustball.

Perhaps the science is wrong, but what if its right? Would you want to take that chance?

In 1980, Mt. St. Helens Volcano eruption spewed MORE C02 in just a few hours than ALL of the C02 emitted by MAN since the BEGINNING of the industrial revolution. 'Man' has NO control over the Earth's evolutory balance, nor will He (we) be able to add OR subtract any significant amount of C02 ever. It's arrogant of Man (eco-scientists and politicians) to think that we (they) are BIG enough to have this ability to cause measurable impact on the EARTH'S climate. GET OVER IT fear-mongers!

Its clearly explains the facts and could perhaps be helpful for you to understand why this really is important and not just about fear mongering. That was excellent. I personally don't believe that the current global warming trend is caused by CO2 emissions mostly due to trending and the fact that there was less polar ice in 1940 than there is now. I expect that this current global warming will be followed by even more threatening global cooling. Either way, "coal has got to go". CO2 is not bad. Plants need it to breathe. If anything is responsible for global warming, it's the sun, not human beings emitting CO2.

hahaha. now that's a new global warming sceptic I've never heard of before! made me laugh! all the CO2 emissions caused by mankind come from burning fossil fuels, etc. Like the air we breathe out, the CO2 we breathe out when we breathe in O2; it's a natural cycle. Plants turn CO2 to O2, we breathe the O2 and turn it to CO2 then the plants turn CO2 ..... . But over the last 100 years, we've added much CO2 that cannot be used by plants.

The corelation between human emited C02 and global warming has been proven to be false. There are videos about that here on youtube and on google video.

However, there are other problematic issues related to burning coal, so it should still be replaced with something cleaner.
