You could watch Hulu with the media center of nessViewer - with this you can easily select the movies by menu. Apple remote control or iPhone/iPod touch as remote control (NV Remote) supported. And we would like to offer more content for USA but need beta testers - if you are interested please let us know...
Hey man thanks for the vid. Im thinking of buying a mac mini. but can i play back movies i get from torrents blue ray etc? also i have evrything on an external hard drive which i could hook up to the mac mini with no problems im shure.also does it lag? etc
I thought you was a PC fan boy why do you have a Mac I recall you talking shit about the Mac Mini and now you have crossed over. Once you go Mac you never go back!!!!
First of all the retail mac mini is not worth the price. I still think it is not worth the money. This one was. I paid $300 for it. If the mac mini was at that price it would be reasonable. I am not a fanboy of anything unless its logic and reason.
So I just bought a TV tuner and a 27" monitor, so now I can use my laptop to watch TV extend it to an external monitor to work as a small TV. I figured that is probably a better than getting a big monitor and a TV as well.
I used to have a Dinovo, but then the keys had crap under them. It was hard to clean under the keys. I tried removing the keys but ended up breaking something. Whoops.
No because it has a 30" 2560x1600 monitor. Media center enhances tv. Tivo type stuff. I am not using my main computer because its for my computing. This is for pausing, recording, watching hulu, etc. So friends can come over and watch. I dont want people watching in my office. Isn't enough room.
$100 for the keyboard. However for a media center it cannot be beat. It has a 2 month battery life. Slider for volume, trackpad, bluetooth of course. It is the ideal media center keyboard for media centers.
Form factor. Eyetv has an option to put the buffer on the ram. I was going to build a Ion system but I bought a mac mini off someone else for cheaper. The mac mini cost me $90 more but has better specs than an Zotac ion atom 330 system if I was to build it. A core 2 duo is way better than an atom too.
I probably would've gone with the Zino HD, it's a great price and I believe it can play 1080p. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but other than the Apple TV, OS X doesn't have a windows media center equivalent.
I happen to have Eyetv software. I am not very positively inclined towards dell right now. Zino HD is nice and all, but I got Ilife09 and Snow Leopard with the mini. That and the the basic Zino HD only has windows home basic. The next one up is $399.

It should be able to play digital media. Blue ray however is a different story.

I've always wanted a diNovo keyboard, but the price was quite expensive so I just got a Logitech Illuminated Slim Keyboard.
Great keyboard btw.

You are right there is no media center equivalent for the mac. You have to switch between programs.
zoulkyud 2 years ago
If that keyboard you got works with windows too, it probably would not be a bad idea to put Windows 7 on that mac and use it as a DVR.

was that a giant remote in the background lol, like one that you get from walgreens?
