Fruit and vegetables in Japan are expensive - holy sh*t they are expensive, B.U.T. the quality and taste of Japanese offerings are SO MUCH BETTER than in North America. I loved the carrots and pears in Japan. The pears cost $5.00 equivalent (in Canadian funds), but DAMN, they tasted good. When I came back to Canada and ate a pear from my country's grocery store, it tasted like poo, in comparison.
