Marines have never been the "main force", or the "front lines". And as far as Rangers go, Rangers are not a "main force" by any means. They are not a conventional unit within the Army. They are not part of Special Forces, but do fall under SOCOM. I've been in the Army for a decade, 11B the whole time. Not saying your fat lol but your 40 lbs over weight when compared to Military height/weight standards = MAXIMUM weight is 195 for someone 73" tall. Agilty and stamina become an issue even if you were full of muscle and no fat. It's just as unhealthy to have that much muscle as it is to have that much fat. heart problems are common. I prefer high stamina in a firefight.

I hate to say this but all I saw was a bunch of 101st patches. Not a single one of the guys in the videos were from the 75th ranger regiment. They might have gone to ranger school, but that does not make them a ranger. Huge difference.

Personally, I don't think the USA should be accountable to the Geneva convention against an enemy who has no intention whatsoever of honouring it.
@ukpolemic I can see what you're getting at, and I agree with you on those points, but until we're capable of being 100% right all the time about who is an insurgent and who is a civilian, I don't think it would be ethical to allow said rules of engagement. civilian deaths are a by-product, indeed, but if they're being actively killed on the presumption of being terrorists, rather than just being innocent bystanders, it just wouldn't work, in my opinion that is.
When I was in US Army Rangers they always called me preacher lol, I always brought extra rations of chocalate and candy for kids :). For parents I always brought extra rations including water. An All approved by by red crescent for muslim
The Kid's in Iraq so friendly and funny some of them never had Chocolate before :) , I have kid's of my own :). So Seeing kids in Iraq coming to us was blessing to me I gave kid's Chocolate and Mom's and Dad's MRE's and Water and Coffee I bought two cases before I went to Iraq :D
I went through US Army Ranger school in my 20's damned near killed me lol out of 240 only 85 of us graduated. But I never regret a moment especially when dad pinned Ranger tab on me with mom and sister's there :). I was in Somalia and Desert Storm

Not saying your fat lol but your 40 lbs over weight when compared to Military height/weight standards = MAXIMUM weight is 195 for someone 73" tall. Agilty and stamina become an issue even if you were full of muscle and no fat. It's just as unhealthy to have that much muscle as it is to have that much fat. heart problems are common. I prefer high stamina in a firefight.

Never has the Enemy ie. Taliban or Al Quieda met an overwhelming force such as us or US or British Marines. Here in USA we only dig in harder and fight more ferociously than the enemy especially in US Army Rangers. I am former US Ranger 75th 3rd battallion retired now!! An for those stray Rangers showing up at my door for my daughter GOD HELP YOU :D Better hope US Ranger God is protecting YOU hehehe!

@Nikon05 Civilian deaths are an unfortunate by-product of war, particularly with an enemy who hides themselves among, and attacks from within civilian populations as a strategy. There's no mercy in prolonging war, which is what these r.o.e. do. It's bad to the point that the Taliban openly scouts American bases and they aren't permitted to shoot them. Personally, I don't think the USA should be accountable to the Geneva convention against an enemy who has no intention whatsoever of honouring it.

@ukpolemic I can see what you're getting at, and I agree with you on those points, but until we're capable of being 100% right all the time about who is an insurgent and who is a civilian, I don't think it would be ethical to allow said rules of engagement. civilian deaths are a by-product, indeed, but if they're being actively killed on the presumption of being terrorists, rather than just being innocent bystanders, it just wouldn't work, in my opinion that is.

When I was in US Army Rangers they always called me preacher lol, I always brought extra rations of chocalate and candy for kids :). For parents I always brought extra rations including water. An All approved by by red crescent for muslim

The Kid's in Iraq so friendly and funny some of them never had Chocolate before :) , I have kid's of my own :). So Seeing kids in Iraq coming to us was blessing to me I gave kid's Chocolate and Mom's and Dad's MRE's and Water and Coffee I bought two cases before I went to Iraq :D

rangers go in before marines they go in and capture the airfields and conduct raids before the marines come in and they operate with NAVY SEALs,DELTA FORCE. marines and ranger serve different proposes in the Militay.the Rangers are an elite American Special Operations Force capable of conducting direct action operations and are a rapidly deployable regiment witch can be anywhere in the world in 18 hours. @hanzohadow

@hanzohadow. Wrong the Army Ranger are so far more highly trained than the marines. A Ranger is SF qualified and officially is SO. On top of that, Rangers have to be para-dropped into areas to secure air bases in order for the marines and army infantry units to land their planes to secure the next forward AO's. @zVlPERz they have circle parachutes because theyre designed to drop them straight down they wernt made to be able to control they just depend on the drop location to be right the rectangle chutes were made to have control over where you land but they cant support as much weight and theyre affected by wind alot more i think
