yes they do. Why, what seems to be the problem? It's 4/4, around 160bpm. People dance to faster tempi (i.e., drum'n'bass, around 178bpm).

yeah that thing in the background, sounds like a pipe. I think its a comb filter at a low frequency. Then they lowpass filter it around to give it some funk... you're right. Why "thumbs down" his comment?

it's not really improvised. they know what sequences to load when for their gear. but they knob twiddle and play around during each sequence.

thanks for posting, I've listened to them for yrs and am finally getting a a chance to see them live in phila in a couple of weeks. I love it when bands like this or Underworld play live and deconsruct their own music. very cool and experimental.

they often use elements of album stuff to make your ear perk up but its structured differently etc ie beginning has some lcc in there but isnt lcc .

yeah, it's definitely different from the album version. The majority of what they play live isn't even on their albums.
