  • RAASEENGAANNNN!

  • is there gravity?

  • @jag9022 yeah dude there's gravity. can't you feel it?

  • Read the description everyone! It's nothing special because they're in space!

"This experiment was done at International Space Station by Don Pettit from NASA."

  • why you hatin?

  • i wish i had a lisp.......NOT

  • if i could sacrafice my voice to have a lisp to be able to go into space i would do it

  • @FunnyMcFunnerton theres no force on the lungs, everyone sounds different in 0g

  • awsome I wish i could do this (espaecally the tablet one!)

  • WOW, Zero gravity. Floating water. O.O

  • Read the description...

"This experiment was done at International Space Station by Don Pettit from NASA."

  • zero g ,at the international space station

  • vacum does not equal zero gravity..

  • no such thing as zero gravity unless you go space this man is probley puting a strong current through it

  • it is not a vacum

  • most classic nerd voice ever. i loveu nassa

  • Deep in value but simple everyday events.

Very well explained. Upper University stuff.

  • lol... funny voice

  • hoq did you make that?

  • In space, thus the line in the description "This experiment was done at the International Space Station by Don Petit from NASA"

  • i wish that you used some color for the water (a tint of some sort...would that have some effect on the whole experiment, i wonder?) inside the air bubble...my eyes are terrible and i can't see them. sounds really cool though. suffice it to say, i don't have a background in science (humanities major) but it's still fascinating nonetheless.

  • My thoughts exactly! Coloured water and possibly if the alka seltzer tablet was coloured also. That would look immense!

  • Wow, blitzball from FFX

  • lmao amen

  • This... Is the birth of an under water game i like to call, Blitzball!

  • The aspirin effect was really really cool!!!

  • are they doing this in space?

  • they are! thats the excuse they have for a space station, ao they can do experiment in space without gravity acting on their experiment!seems worth it all the millions of dollars they spend!

  • what would you rather have the money spent on, oh wait let me guess world hunger, yeah I think that would be a true waste because you will get nothing but hungry people when the after the money is spent, where as the return in investment here is scientific knowledge that may last for as long as there are humans, sorry I just think that is more important.

  • although i cant remember writing this, bubbles in space does sound like a waste of billions, plus most experiments like growing crystals, even though u can grow better crystals in space, the results u get give no more knowledge that u get on earth.

If u r gonna tackle something like world hunger handing out food is basicly pointless.U do what world vision does which is educate & prepare.Give them the tools, seeds & knowledge about crop rotation etc, then move out when everything is going smoothly.

  • Just because you do not understand the point of an experiement does not mean there is no point, it is not possible to study fluid dynamics on earth in zero g, so when you already have people in space doing other experiements then it is not really a waste of time to test assumptions about the dynamics and help to further our understanding by acautal testing and not just simulation.

I susspect that if you can not see a need for space programs then you lack vision.

  • yes i see some point, but i think alot of the experiments are pretty pointless. like growing cystals. And im not the only one, ive heard scientists say this before but i suppose what else are they gonna do up there? still doesnt take away from most of the experiments being over priced for results that you can achieve on earth.

Oh and by the way i understand the point in the experiment

  • cool I just thought you were one of those nay sayers that say space programs are pointless endeavor, personally I think there is no greater asperation for the human spirit to pursue. I believe that the eventual returns that will be gained from the first tenitive steps into that great fronteer far outway the initial cost, in fact the potential profit margins in terms of mining and manufacture alone could make space a tremendous industry waiting to be explioted that would benifet all humans.

  • when i started reading your comment before you even mentioned the mining thing i was gonna bring that up. If they can figure a cheap and effective way to get into space mining the moon would be a great business opportunity. but the amount of money for fuel and all the other problems it would bring makes it just not feasible, thats if its even physically possible to do it. it may never be possible to do it but wouldnt cheap space travel be great

  • The only reason it is not feasible is because priorities are screwed up in my opinion, yeah the intial cost are high but the returns are literaly astronomical you know what I mean. Lack of vision, no body want to take the risks it will take and not enough people demand that we make it a priority too bad I suppose.

  • well im talking about rocket fuel and how much it costs to make plus everything else involved. Its not worth it now and we dont have any technology close to being useful

  • damn, we need a high speed video of a guy punching a giant ball of water in space. that would be awesome.

  • first of all how the fuck do u get a floating in the air or even a sphere

  • its in space

  • yes we all see the wire, but its still kool how it hangs on with surface tension, so dont ruin it for other people

  • its not with surface tension, its in the international space station

  • shimXshim=moron, dont say its a hoax when you have no idea what you are talking about...

  • Are you kidding? I cant tell.

  • you're retarded

you don't know what you're talking about

    1) It's in the International Space Station

    2) The wire is there to hold the water in front of the camera, while allowing you to see the effects.

  • beautiful video, although the guy sounds exactly like George Mcfly from BTTF

  • the common cold resides in water

  • GO TO SPACE.

  • Not water, But because the water is in space or zero gravity, it floats as a sphere and it doesnt contain any weight but mass.

  • because its weightless.

  • Well its because you dont care about people studying the properties and realms of life , instead you only know how to enjoy life and have fun your whole entire time. These people made it possible for us to do many thing which we couldnt do in the past; So think about it.

  • SWEET

  • This is why I want to visit the ISS.

  • I care. Why do scientific stuff should always go cure sickness immediatly? Experiments pave the way to a better understanding of the world and lead to amazing discoveries that does help life. Science is mostly abstract.

  • That's possibly the most annoying and nerdiest voice I've heard.

  • He sounds like the nerdy turtle from Rocko's Modern Life.

  • its because hes in a weightless environment,

he has to force the air out of his lungs differently in such an environment...

  • Science is awesome!

  • Wow
