Its all about the the amp rating on the 12v rail(s). 20amps through a 12v rail = 240watts of power to your amp.

SO i have a a small 200w alpine Amp at 4ohm and 350w at 2ohms.....on my amp theirs two 20 Amp fuses. Does this mean i need a 40 amp psu for a small 200w Amp? or can i get away with one psu at 20amps and 400w? your help would we great!

@707Mendo707 yes.. u can use but when ever u will turn volume up it will cut off the power and its very irritating!! u need to attach more psu according to the power of the amp like if the amp is of 1000 W u need to connect 3 psu of 450 W !!

You can hook it up wit a Xbox 360 power supply works real good that's how I have my 2 12" there kickers comp and a 1000W amp the brand on that is Xplod and I have a radio hooked up to.to that only one power supply

@H3nkkap the amount of channels doesnt matter, its only how much power you pull through it..... whenever i turned my amp up, the psu simply turned off, so just put the gain down and turn it up, and whenever the light starts dimming on the amp turn it back some and leave it there..... (since underpowering amps can fry the inside)

@H3nkkap you can just it isn't recommended but you just putt all the yellow from both power supply's together and all the blacks but leave 2 blacks spare then find the green wire on the main mother board connector on each power supply then put each green to a black then simply put all yellows to 12v+ and all blacks to - but you may / will need a wire from the 12v+ to the amp remote wire bit :) hope i helped

hmm im still wondering because i have my subs and everything else hooked up to my comp you could just run music from your comp to your subs other than a head unit  just buy a rca to minijack split at radioshack :)
