What is the technique for the beginning? Looks like Pico has to hit your back right both times. I seem to have more trouble with hitting him the first time and getting him to catch up really quickly behind me like in the video. Tips?

@chorman406 mate, there no really good tips coz the first 2 hits are feeling hits. imo when i play it i only got it 3 times of 10 tries. the first hit should be much right on your car and the second hit a bit less right near middle to get the full speed. train it a bit its tricky but possible ^^

What is the advantage of skimming the edge of the wall right after crossing the lap line? I remember being insanely good on this track as a kid. I can't remember my official best record, but I know it was in the 1:40's. I'll have to dig up my old cart and check...

BS. You can't possibly turn so smooth like that in the game with the original hardware because the SNES pads were digital. You're either using an emulator or some sort of analog control.

right is, that this run was done by an emulator but it was not me :D

and false! it is possible to run that smooth like you see it in this vid but its really hardcore to do it 5 rounds in a row. try it yourself. after 20-25 times cutting the curve close enough you get a feeling for it. but as i said its hard to do it 5 times in a row :D ^^

I don't think emulators should count. How can one tell if one is cheating, or not ? It *should* be done on the original hardware. Mine is still in fair condition. I can do this "record", and make it look bad -- on the original SNES hardware! See me in two weeks.

Look at his speed when he rubs the walls, retard. By using the S-jet and rubbing the walls, he is traversing less of the track without losing any speed. You know, basic geometry, basic racing tactics

Why does everyone always ride the wall in the first turn? I haven't played this game in years but I know I used to run 5 laps hitting all the on-track speed boosts & using all 4 S-boosts without hitting the sides.

it burns off some speed so you can make the corner. at least that's what i think he's doing.

its not sure if he cheated but it is possible coz he played on an emulator and you are able to do ingame save... fe he playes every round so long until he get every round perfect. he record it and put the pieces together or you can make your gamespeed to 50% or even slower etc.. there are so much possibilities to cheat... that were only a few and soem simple ones :D

Thats not cheating, thats pushing the game to its limits. TAS's are much more entertianing for many games.
