Neat video! Just some trivia for you, Billy Gibbons plays slide with his middle finger. I don't think I've seen anyone use their index though.

@Richv666 Yeah I'm a huge ZZ Top fan. I personally suck with a slide no matter where it is lol. Hence I'm a drummer and just do this junk for fun when I'm bored. I however have never seen an index finger used. Reason: You couldn't chord out anything without it. I mean it COULD be done, but it'd be silly to do. I think the pinky is probably the most common finger, though.

I know a version, were you play it in Standard tuning and on the 0, 3, 5 Fret of the d and g string

@JohannesLG12203 Once again, the standard tuning doesn't work as well. It becomes hard to solo with the slide like he does, and it just sounds different.

@LonelyDogToni Yeah standard would work, but the main problems with that are A: you'll get subtle differences in sound due to the fretting and original string tension, B: George Thorogood himself didn't so it in standard, and B: The solos become much more difficult in standard. You could do it, but the way he did it was much more efficient.
