Those who think the captains of industry command the facts and environmentalists are wooly-headed tree-huggers will have their eyes opened by this debate. The facts are clearly on Friedman's side. The avalanche of them forces Williams to retreat, again and again, to saying that Duke is just regular folks who don't want the lights to go out, all the while obfuscating the industry's on-going opposition to being dragged into a new energy model by the climate crisis.
