I was once asked as to which of Genes' movies I loved the most and though I love them all if I am honest, ''The Ghost And Mrs. Muir'' is my favorite not only because of the story and the direction Genes' portrail of Lucia and all the things that make an everlasting movie, but Herrmans original score is so perfect for every aspect of the movie also, so hauntingly beautiful it makes it for me my #1

I believe Gene's spirit leaned over you while you slept, not giving you the artistry to create this--you already had that in you-but drawing it out of you, leaving you with the memory of a dream and the wish to share it with us.
There is such a meloncholy feeling with the photos to this music - sad but beautiful, yet possessing the kind of inner strength Gene had to fight her personal battles and continue on with her life. There are some parallels between some of the films she made and her real life. You've done a tremendous job here of summing it up.
Glad you enjoyed it. There is so much wisdom in the book and lots of quotable sayings. Not bad for a woman who had whole portions of her memory erased by electroshock therapy.
