This video just seems like its just to over glorify old videogames in fact all of these characters most likely had the "building of their character" thing (except Duke Nukem but i don't count him because HES A PARODY so obviously he a super badass because that's the joke) and why we didn't get their story is probably because they didnt have the technological and the Marcus and master chief thing is crap because in GOW it doesn't take much to kill them same in halo (as kat shown)

Duke Nukem on this list is damn right :) As much as modern gamers wanna deny it, but you can go and Google "Top 10 Badasses in Video Gaming" and you will see that on nearly all of those lists Duke Nukem is included :) He even tops a majority of them :)

I would calmly argue Chuck Green from Dead Rising 2 as a modern gaming badass. The guy is a former BMX rider and a professional zombie killer for the zombie killing game show Terror is Reality. If that wasn't badass enough the guy is McGuyver, able to make a zombie slaughtering tool out of ANYTHING. Dude can make a lightsaber from a flashlight and a handful of JEWELRY. If this isn't badass please let me know, because I think he definitely qualifies.

I do agree in some aspects of what makes a "BADASS" character badass, but i dont think u need to be born a badass in a game to be one...especially in retro games. My favorite badass (i dont care u dont agree) would have to be megaman. He starts with one power and works his way to becoming ultimate. Sure he looks like a little kid, but the cover art shows an old man with a cool gun and that in itself is what made me get the game when i was little. I thought to myself. "WHAT AN AWESOME HERO!"

What about the hero from dark & demon's souls. To die that many times, fighting all those tough enemys, and never give up seems kinda badass to me. If you kill him/her, you can be sure he/she will be back 5 mins later to kick the shit out of you. In other words, an unstoppable enemy who will win in the end even if it takes a 100 years.
