I saw many persons standing outside smoking (is smoking allowed in $cientology, lol), and about a dozen in uniform enter the building along with the smokers. How about asking other groups who have experience marshalling? Stop the war coalition, Gay Pride, Take back the night, Women's Day March are just some of the groups who come to mind. Kind of last minute, but worth a try......

However, I remember seeing the original picture where it said "GOOGLE: Lisa McPherson". Why would the newspapers accept pictures submitted by the Church of Scientology instead of respected photographers?
I have no idea the source of either Picture you are referring to. If you have the a copy of the original and one of the newspaper send copies of both to the editor and ask why his paper is censoring legitimate information and photographs. It will be interesting to read any answer.

The anon cavalry has arrived. We've changed the rules on them and they can't handle it. The concerns are legit, HOWEVER, the beauty of the decentralization of anon is it would be rather obvious if we got "compromised" by the $cilons; at least to us I believe. The idea for a designated anon to maintain contact with the police and coordinate with them is great, especially in that situation, however the $cilons will likely target that anon and do whatever it takes to harass/out them.
No need for any Anon to be targeted. I have them OSA legally constrained at least for the time being. While I do I can mediate between the Anons and the police. A Notice of Demo is a great tool. This way Anons run the show, not the cops and the cops are required to advise and aid the Anons on operation of the Demo for public safety. It also allows Anons to legally exclude and counter demo or suspected C0$ agents or other unwlecomed 3rd Parties and the Cops will escort the offenders away.
I support this idea. Anonymous as we are, the fact is that the rules have changed. This isn't to say that we're choosing a leader, we're simply making that one anon that always talks to the cops the same guy, and using his name to get our legal grounds secure. You miss the point. Without a permit the Police can choose, whenever they want, to terminate, or even prevent any large assembly.
I picketed C0$ for years without a permit, but there was only at most 12 of us and an average of about 6. Once we had a regional Picket, 30+ picketers and I did get a Demo Permit for that. With it, I was able to have the *Cops* keep the OSA from mingling with us in the deisgnated area *right outside their front door.* For 6 hours.
Well, they can photo you, but they have to use OT3 or higher members and they have to electronically alter the picture too.
The alteration makes it questionable for use in unfortunate circumstances, like being set up to look like you did something. Its called "manufacturing evidence" an important OSA tenet when trying ot destroy SPs.
I remember reading on the Enturbulation forums that scietology was operating under wartime conditions. And was not worried about people being exposed to OT3 materials.

I think this is a great idea for all pickets that are growing larger in different cities. I'm in Vancouver and it would be great to have someone with your knowledge here to help. Perhaps you could post something on enturbulaton with your ideas of a police liason and marshals. We saw from the video in Atlanta that there was a breakdown in communication with the police and therefore people were arrested.

Do you think that this is the first time Toronto Police have dealt with demonstrations. You would be suprised at how adept they are at dealing with protests, violent and peaceful ones. Ask any number of groups. They know of what they speak, so use your brain a little. A peaceful demonstration will get the message out. Look at the violent actions of OCAP a few years ago... after their violent clash with police everyone, including politicians, distanced themselves from OCAP and their message.

I think this is a great idea for all pickets that are growing larger in different cities. I'm in Vancouver and it would be great to have someone with your knowledge here to help. Perhaps you could post something on enturbulaton with your ideas of a police liason and marshals. We saw from the video in Atlanta that there was a breakdown in communication with the police and therefore people were arrested.

would they rather have us running a muck on mainstreet toronto? break up the picket and that is exactly what will happen. do the police want 200 masked men scattered throughout the town? toronto police need to use their brains a little bit. It is in everybodys best interest to allow peaceful protests to continue unobstructed. if toronto needs a permit, then fine get one. but expect the church to go after that permit and anyone whoes name is on it.

Do you think that this is the first time Toronto Police have dealt with demonstrations. You would be suprised at how adept they are at dealing with protests, violent and peaceful ones. Ask any number of groups. They know of what they speak, so use your brain a little. A peaceful demonstration will get the message out. Look at the violent actions of OCAP a few years ago... after their violent clash with police everyone, including politicians, distanced themselves from OCAP and their message.

It will allow us to have more co-operation with police force, and to stop anyone who joins for the soul purpose of stirring up trouble.

PS: I know it takes courage and determination for you to be offering this help to the Anons, considering what the church put you and your family through in the past. The thing is, I know why you're doing it. Freedom of speech, freedom for the right to protest injustices are fundamental to the soul and you have known and experienced and observed the oppression enough to fight back so that it does not happen to others. Thanks for all your help in exposing the truth about Scientology in Toronto.

WBM of the North is wise. Good idea, and this U.S. Anon is glad to see that there are police in the world that are actually concerned about the protester. In the U.S. the cops are in the pay of the CO$ to protect THEM Re Atlanta Dekalb County cops and Chicago in particular. THIS is a good idea...but what if your city does not have an already outted person to do so? The land of the FREE and FREE SPEECH is not the land of the COPS 4 CO$.

I agree with what WBMN has to say. The movements gotten very large, and there has been discussion amongst us oldfags that someone needs to protect the IDs of the younger Anons and watch out for the troublemakers/sciplants. The protests would still be controlled by Anonymous themselves,but we'd be watching your backs..and taking the heat from the cops too.
I for one am not afraid to be outed..for all I know may already have been. I do wish Enturb was back up tho as this needs to be discussed.

is trikzy business. The arguments will be over it singling out some to be targeted as 'leaders', but it could be necessary, a way will be found.

A PR man with a name is a great idea. WBM-Nords name is already known and the worst has already come his way.
I hope the forums on enturbulation come back soon because it needs to be seriously discussed for all locations.
The Named One, thats the person that files protest requests and talks to police, select and mark the crowd marshals with something unique. I recommend against an armband tho. Its hard to see and easy to duplicate.
It is not a vote tho. Its a good idea then it's a WIN.

I think it is an idea worth pursuing at least once.
I am very for this idea. It is very clear that this is a liaison position to pacify city/police concerns.
This is something being seriously considered by the rest of us for sure.
