  • Funny how shit flinging right-wing monkeys feel they need to troll this video lol.

  • Good on these proactive, intelligent and informed people. It's those who make the effort to study and understand who need to be listened to, not self-interested capitalist parasites or self-appointed arm-chair expert wankers and conspiracy theory quacks.

  • @JakeBlakeProject: communism will never work in reality, and I can't stand Obama. Oh...and I was there. I don't toke, either. Try again.

@pcrase2: no sh*t sherlock. why don't you tell me about the differences between active and passive solar, studies in imitative form for wind mills, and the feasibility of biomass in different areas of the country based on the different ecosystems.

  • big party ^^

  • i wonder if any of these people know how solar, wind, and coal energy works?

  • Wow! These people are collage students? This is our future? I am scared.

  • 10:19 - Wow! This part of the video looks like it was taken from the sixties.

  • That is the most non petroleum users I have ever seen, congregated in one place, hope no one got their bicycle stolen.

  • Looks like the future welfare recipients that I will support. UGGG.

  • Brain dead commie Obamazombies. Heeeelarious!

  • What happens when the wind doesn't blow? What happens when the sun doesn't shine? Earth's environment is cleaner today than 100 years ago. True fact! And while the US creates more trash and consumes more of everything, we are simultaneously creating the wealth that feeds/houses most of the rest of the world. How many wind mills and solar farms would it take? How invasive would that be to the environment and open spaces? Biggest culprit of C02 in the atmosphere is dying plants and vegetation.

  • @luke55664 You use fossil fuels and nuclear as a back up to renewable. But to use finite fuels that foul the environment as a primary source is ill advised. Not only because it funds international terror and causes wars or puts carbon and plenty of foul stuff into the air but because it's going to run out.

Luke these kids would rather we deal with it now while we still can.

  • @ebecker2000 Got it all figured out have you? Try crunching the numbers. You may have an epiphany! Also you may want to review the July 2009 Co2 report. Then try and not lecture people about what you only think you know....Have a nice day.........

  • @luke55664 What is the July 2009 CO2 report and how do I find it? Thanks

  • The fact that Liberals actually believe that anyone in the world is "anti-environment" blows my mind.

What these stupid kids don't realize is that their little rally was maybe 5% about the environment, and 95% socialist agenda.

  • @briteenough2burn Yep You summed it up right. Apparently we, who are not of their opinion are dead set on destroying our own and our childrens future. Well , if they say it's so, it must be true . Or perhaps you have a different take on YOUR own opinion. AND that's got to be wrong, because you aint them. YOU simply cannot disagree.

  • @maximus505 I'm with you 100% - this convention wasn't organized with the intention to take over the energy systems overnight. Yes, we want a clean energy economy and Obama said himself it's the right direction. So we're destroying jobs - give them one of the 1.7 mil. jobs we're creating that won't alter their health. Of course environments evolve and adapt their niches. The problem is that this isn't a natural cycle, we're actually changing the composition of our air and contaminating our water

  • Sooooo, what do you do with all of the caustic, contaminated, highly toxic batteries once the electric cars are not usable anymore? At least aluminum engine blocks can be recycled. Also, who the heck wants a bunch of windmills all over the place? Certainly not any of the Kennedy's. And, aren't solar panels made from petrolium products as well? Is there enough sunlight in Washington State for solar? Just looking out for the libs out there.

  • Let some clueless kids feel good about themselves and talk about "climate justice" and how a small minority of political hacks show "what democracy looks like".

I agree generally with the anti-lobby stuff but it's interesting how a lobby group like greenpeace can get away with their political agenda and propaganda.

You must have been to college to believe that wind mills, biofuels and solar panels are more sustainable than conventional energy.

  • I bet about 98 percent of these dolts still live with their mommies and daddies.

  • So proud of the students from my alma mater that participated in the rally!

  • @JMMac10 They all drove in cars paid for by their parents and used tons of gas like the foul stench coming from al goreholes mouth

  • How many of those green hardhats (Made of petroleum products) ended up in a landfill after the parade?

  • Great idea Wrong Direction. Renewables must come from Private energy . the Government must have the Responsibility to to allow no Foul Play in the Free market to let this happen.

  • LOOK AT THIS NO YOUTUBE >> Apocalypse 4/9 (History Channel)

  • Best line: "The students are working their butts off to figure out what to do about the environment." Ironic?

  • Who? is a liar but he that denieth that? Jesus is the Christ?

When Jesus comes on the scene there is no power of? hell that can stand against Him.

  • Q. How many engineering students are in that crowd ?

    A. Zero.

  • i met several engineering people, including a couple of chemical engineers.

  • @TonyUnplugged i met several engineering students actually, and a couple of chemical engineers

  • @TonyUnplugged I have a master's in electrical engineering, and I was there in the crowd.

  • @BlackAndRight 1st. I didn't vote for Obama because I knew he would continue with the same imperialistic agenda. 2nd. Since when did the Sun destroy mountain tops with machinery? Since when did the Sun pollute our air and water? Since when did the Sun fund billionaire capitalists who have no concern for the wellbeing of the american citizens? There is no debate that our addiction to fossil fuels is dangerous. We need clean energy and green jobs now.

  • Spain embraced your green agenda. Spain is broke. The crew that shot this video said that it was tough to breathe due to being downwind of the body odor. If the Green hats can't take care of themselves, there's little to show you can take care of a planet.

And when you decide to live on a mountain top, then it will be a problem.

  • @MediaResearchCntr

I guess you removed my comment because it made too much sense?

The fact that you have zero concern for the environment is alarming.

I suppose we'll just keep on drilling and mining until nothing is left. We could prepare for the future, but what's the use, it just costs too much money. Oh and pollution, who cares about that? We don't need clean air and water.

  • @maximus505 Apologies, I was attempting to remove a duplicate comment. Believe me, there's nothing you bring to the discussion that's threatening. I've interviewed climate scientists who insist polar icecaps melt... in the summer. They renew their mass during the winter. Wanna guess what satellite photos you are shown?

And if corporations are so greedy and there's really so much money in wind and solar, why are they blowing it off?

  • @BlackAndRight

You talk about environmentalists like they're completely clueless.

When a massive chunk of ice breaks off, does it float back and reattach in the winter? Heck, why did it break off in the first place?

That's the problem, there is no money in wind and solar. Do you know why? Because there's still billions to be made from fossil fuels... at least until they run out.

Honestly? What is the conservative game plan? Is everything just fine right now? Is there any concern at all?

  • @maximus505 The problem is the eco people want us 2 switch over 2 a technology that just isn't here yet. We can't drive an electric car (which takes fossil fuels 2 produce said electricity 2 power it) N the amount of time a regular gas powered car can. The technology needs 2 b there first be4 we can move forward. Trust me, no conservative is antirenewable energy it's just not a possibility at the moment. So let's work w/what we got N hopes that the private sector can come up with the technology

  • @scarebear83

Look, I know it's not possible to meet our energy needs with renewable energy right now. The problem is that we aren't making any real changes at all.

We could offset our fossil fuel dependence significantly with wind turbines along the mountain tops and coasts, residential solar & concentrated solar farms, and localized biofuels programs. As we put more money into alternative energy, more research will be done.

We just aren't making any effort right now - or anytime soon...

  • @maximus505 Yeah but in order for that to happen the economy needs to pick up. Right now it's just not feasible in any sense to get this going. And wind and solar energy have been proven to be a bit on the well, flopped side if you will. Wind turbines kill birds and solar power still isn't strong enough to power everyone. Just be patient and the technology, Lord willing, will get there. But don't demonize those who wish to keep fossil fuels around for the time being

  • @scarebear83 Okay. I see your point.

Follow the money... the economy isn't strong because a very small few have the vast majority of the wealth.

The poor get poorer and the rich get richer..

Other nations have made great progress in terms of sustainability - we shouldn't wait any longer. We'll be left behind.

  • @maximus505 During a recession yes that can be true, the rich could get richer etc. But these same rich people who are demonized are the same ones who produce our jobs. What if Wal-Mart, Starbucks, and McDonalds decided to close up shop because these are the very corporations some tend to be against... millions of people would be out of work. I don't mind rich people having money. It's theirs. What I have a problem with is people assuming that the rich's money rightfully belongs to someone else

  • @maximus505 What nations? Are you on drugs? Greece? Ireland? Portugal? Great Britain? Spain? etc etc

Go suck on an icecap you moron and then shoot up.

  • @maximus505 You've illustrated Bob's point. The ice DOES eventually re-attach itself. It's called the environmental Water Cycle. Look it up.

  • @maximus505 Massive chunks of ice can break off for various reasons. For example sea ice at the poles "calves" during summer, while it grows over winter time (not matter whether it gets warmer or colder overall in a long period of time). There is a lot of money in "renewables". Government money. The fact that no "green" energy source besides hydroelectric (which isn't that green) can meet the market test shows their inefficiency. Most environmentalists ARE clueless and don't care about facts...

  • @maximus505 Q. "Why did it break off in the first place"? A. In the winter it gets cold. In the summer it gets hot!

  • Haha the comments on this page just crack me up! What a bunch of duche bags.

Anyone that doesn't understand that we are in a major energy crisis is a straight up moron.

  • @maximus505 Tell you what, Max: if you want to act all intellectually superior and righteous and call those who aren't enviro-suckers "straight up morons", learn some basic grammar and check your spelling.

  • @BlackAndRight

    "enviro-suckers"

So in your opinion, being concerned about the global environment is a problem?

You clearly don't have a clue about resource scarcity, extreme weather, and economic decline.

Don't worry, you don't have to care about the future generations. There are enough of us that do.

  • @maximus505 Oh, and youthful know-it-all arrogance gave us Obama. Forgot to thank you for that one... :-P

  • Man made global warming is fake... "Global Warming" is just the boogie man for the month.

  • "the Attack of the Green Zonbies" ...... Total zombie shit.

  • Is this the Zombie holocaust?

  • I am so glad I don't live in a Democracy.

  • Anti-choice anti-human anti-capitalist morons.

  • Bunch of watermelons. Green on the outside red in the inside

  • @Daniel44125 I wish you had another way to describe them (like turds) because I like watermelons. Kinda makes sense though.

  • @panzer903 LOL I like them too but not the human kind
