hmmm I think you may have missed the point. Muhammad is said by muslims to be the most perfect man and many muslims pattern themselves after his ways. If it was ok to Marry a child back then, the same thing would be ok in this time, because he supposedly walked in righteousness. Does righteousness change? Of course not. What's righteous yesterday should be righteous today. Marrying a child when you're an old man is not righteous in any time.

Now what I am saying that there is evidence too - The accuracy of the Quran, coherence and common sense. eg it describes that the universe is expanding something that only modern science tacked. You migt say this is a coincidence but one can realise the evidences on the divinity of the Quran when he reads it.

Thomas Jefferson (although he presumed to rewrite the Bible at one point) was not claiming to be a prophet of God. One might expect a prophet of God- someone supposedly sent as a gift and mercy to mankind- to exemplify a morality that transcends their historical epoque. At the least one might expect this supposed prophet not to be sleeping with a child while he's condemning other people (consenting adults) to death for adultery and homosexuality. Fair point? Reasonable?

She was a key contributor to the teachings of islam and a leading authority in islam that was respected not only by the muslims of her time but is still in a highly respected position today, which is far from what can be said about a woman who is sexually exploited through media etc today. Why does a half naked woman need to be put on a car in advertising?
