  • awesome singer at any age

  • Comment removed

  • Glen was the man & I love the kids in the background it just brings the song home real nice

  • man is he singing or talking..65 or not this is crappy!!!

  • I was at this concert. Mid-Way through this song i tried to pass gas, and a liquid came out instead, i spent the rest of the evening in the restroom crying and listening to glen's beautiful voice echo somewhere in the distance. I never forgave my mother for adding so much curry powder to the enchilada's she made the family that night. I still blame her for making me miss one of Glen's break-out performances of the year. We havent spoken since this night.....

  • That is an awesome story! I've shit my pant at less rememberable concerts. Just be thankful that you were there!

  • That story would have been just as effective with a little less specific detail, but thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for all of the explicit detail there , -()

  • @TheChrisV420 love it

  • I love both singers, but Shorrock more on this song. Farnham can sing his butt off too though.

  • Wow, this is so bad. I'll listen to the original version thank you very much! Shorrock should just give it up. Farnham did it 1000 times better and unlike Farnham Shorrock does NOT get better with age..

  • Hello! This is filmed by an amateur! Obviously they weren't able to capture the right sound. He still has a great voice.

  • Your right, this does sound like shit. But this would be because of the bad recording. I was lucky to see these boys live at the 1988 world expo. They are very good live and one of the tightest bands I have ever seen. This does not do them justice.

  • This is a lot newer than 1988, and has NOTHING to do with the recording.. Who did you see? The LRB, or just Glenn?? Glenn just can't sing anymore, he used to be great though...

  • Hello he is 65 yrs old, give hime some credit. He is not 35 when it came out!!!!

  • How old is Glen now?

  • Glenn Barrie Shorrock (born on June 30, 1944, in Chatham, Kent, UK) - Wikipedia

  • Glenn is ten times better than John! John has the voice which is more toner than him. I have heard John signing...like a canary!

  • BrunoOrson: "like a canary". I like that.

  • This song belongs to Glenn...Sorry, Farnham does his thing totally awesome too..

  • wow his voice just gets better with age, amazing voice..

  • Singers are born singer!!! Artist has their own style...I love this version...I love LITTLE RIVER BAND!!! all their songs are GREAT!!!!

  • relax ladies they were both good singers when they were young, now they are fat and old lol. I just saw LRB live and they have a new young singer, hes good too.

  • How 'bout we all like them both...they are different, for sure...but comparing musical likes and dislikes is a giant waste of time. Relax and enjoy both vibes...:)

  • I've heard farnham sing this. He sucks at it.

  • I agree

  • I like his voice better, sounds more honest

  • nobody is better than farnham, but shorrock did write the song

  • Lets get things straight, Glenn is better than John. Peart is the god of all drummers and Mercury can't be replaced, even tho Rodgers did. Bruce is the "Boss", Dylan rocks. Tell me what remake is better than the original, then we'll talk.

  • music is purely a taste thing---I have several remakes {cover versions} that I like whether they are better is up to the individual listening-there are plenty of songs we hear as youngsters that we don't even know are cover songs so we like the versions we hear better---

  • Struggling? He was the original! You could put Neil Peart (Rush) in the Beatles, who was WAY better than Ringo, but would that make the band better? Of course not! Like him or not, Shorrock was the original and best....like said many times before, "he wasnt the best cuz he was first, he was the first cuz he was the best"! End of story!

  • yes he is struggling {he didn't write the song btw} I love the studio version of this song it's one of my favorites-I like your Ringo--Peart analogy though I understand where you are coming from.

  • WTF are you talking about? You don't know sh*t. Shorrock most assuredly DID write Cool Change.

  • Shorrock WAS lrb!!

  • No doubt---I guess I'm just saying the posted live version by Farnham blows anything Shorock ever did away---strictly my opinion. If this county fair version that shows a guy {Glenn} struggling through a song with no emotion does it for you then that's your opinion. This is one of the most emotional songs ever written and deserves to be sung with said emotion which I think Farnham does even though he may stretch it out a bit.

  • Farnham would do great in a LRB tribute band. Oh SnAp!

  • Rexa would like Paul Rodgers in Queen better than Freddy Mercury! Go figure!

  • Rexa would probably like Paul Rodgers in Queen better than Freddy Mercury. Go figure!

  • actually I like Paul as a singer in his numerous bands over the years---he can't be compared to freddy due to range issues... to say that Glenn Shorrok is in either of their class is wrong IMo---Just saying that Farnham sings this song much better----Jimi Hendrix sang "All along the watchtower" much better than Dillon----Manfred Mann took Bruce springsteens "blinded by the light" to number one and Bruce never say a hit with it---many would be surprised it is his song.

  • agreed!

  • SO much better than the Farnham shit. Like HUGELY better!

  • No kidding. The original has so much soul...

  • wow--I have to disagree on that.

    Farnham makes this song so much better {live anyway}

John sings with more feeling and soul that Glen IMO.
