Goaltender's these days are nowhere near as good as the era when Hasek, Roy, Broduer (in his prime), Belfour, Joseph, etc. were all playing. I don't remember all the goalies, but I think Kiprusoff played for Finland (he's good, but inconsistent--Backstrom is better), Vokoun for the Czechs (very 'meh' goalie when it really counts), and Luongo is merely above average. And those were the best of the best.

One HELL of a game. I was actually watching from Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan when this happened, freaking heartbreaking. We were all in the mess hall with a big ass 60" TV. The entire base went silent when Crosby scored that goal. Sucks to lose but I love close games and it was awesome seeing another chapter added to this rivalry.

I had never watched a whole hockey game in my life until this one. I sat down with my friend and watched the whole thing sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time. When USA scored at the last couple of seconds in regulation, we thought we were gonna see our generation's "Miracle On Ice". That was of course until Crosby the heart of both me and me friend, and scored the goal for Canada. The U.S. almost had it.. But it was one HECK of a game!
I remember this day, was the greatest moment ever when Crosby scored in ot! Luongo is also the best goalie! LOOOOU! And plus, Canada won the most gold medals and set a record for most gold medals won by a hosting country. Greatest olympics ever!

One HELL of a game. I was actually watching from Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan when this happened, freaking heartbreaking. We were all in the mess hall with a big ass 60" TV. The entire base went silent when Crosby scored that goal. Sucks to lose but I love close games and it was awesome seeing another chapter added to this rivalry.

I love games like this. I just wish people would get over it. Congrats to Canada, they deserved it. I hate stupid people from the U.S that embarrass the rest of us with stupid comments like "I hate Canadians" and "Were better because your Canadian and were American."

I had never watched a whole hockey game in my life until this one. I sat down with my friend and watched the whole thing sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time. When USA scored at the last couple of seconds in regulation, we thought we were gonna see our generation's "Miracle On Ice". That was of course until Crosby the heart of both me and me friend, and scored the goal for Canada. The U.S. almost had it.. But it was one HECK of a game!

I remember this day, was the greatest moment ever when Crosby scored in ot! Luongo is also the best goalie! LOOOOU! And plus, Canada won the most gold medals and set a record for most gold medals won by a hosting country. Greatest olympics ever!

Too bad Canada didn't play you guys as hard as we did the Russians! It would have been phenomenal! Actually.... it still was AWESOME!

@gunsnroses0512 Brodeur was the starter in the beginning of the olympics but failed pretty harsh and got yanked, and for fleury well he didn't even see ice. Babcock made the right decisions and got us gold. As for you i'd like to see the sens win a game, but at least their better then the Laughs..

@TheAviatorDown You're saying that the Sens are better than the Leafs. The Leafs not only finished better than the Sens in the regular season but are an all-around better team. In Leaf games against other Canadian teams we won the majority of the games against the Canadiens and the Sens. The reason we didn't make the playoffs this year was starting Gustavsson, the moment we played Reimer we began to win.

@justgamefaqs One Season of being 3 spots up in the standings doesn't make up for the Leafs constantly blowing their entire season in the fall, making a run at the end, but missing the playoffs, for the 6th year in a row. Sens might've crapped out this season but at least they've had a few respectable ones since the lockout
