@CubicalGirl nope you've got the names mixed up. Heather Mills is Paul's ex-wife. Hayley Mills is the actress that voices the mermaid in this. She also acted for several Disney movies. The first Parent Trap movie was Haley Mills.She was in The Trouble With Angels too. If you google her name I'm sure you'll see lots of titles you know.
Funny how the mermaid doesn't know Chris AT ALL and yet she still claims to have fallen in love with him and says she knows he will love her back when he wakes up.
Thats like what happened in the original story, the little mermaid fell in love with the Prince because he looked like the statue in her garden. And when she became human, the Prince was looking for the girl who saved his life so he could marry her.
I remember seeing this movie back in the late 1960s on television. Great movie! I felt so sad for the Mermaid!! Who sings the song 'WISHES AND TEARDROPS?' Great song!
Although HAYLEY MILLS did the speaking voice for the little Mermaid in this production of THE DAYDREAMER the singing voice was provided by a female studio vocalist.
Isn't it funny that this Mermaid was voiced by Disney star Halley Mills way before Disney would find success with their own Mermaid.
