Skating has become demanding and its not appropriate to compare Kwan to skaters now. During her time, it was, "Wow!" being able to land a triple lutz, let alone 2. People didn't care much about her spins (though her layback gets picked on). Given her talent, she would have coped well if the now system was implemented then.

Nevertheless, Caroline has a lot of talent and let's wait and see who wins at 2010!

so who are u calling bad?kwan r zhang becaz i think they r both good.michelle kwan was the third youngest person to win world champoinships.also,caroline is more flexible now because she is way younger.caroline was born in 1993 compared to kwan,they are 13 years apart.they are both talented and very elegant

She seems to be lucky enough to hit the Olympics at the right time (age 17) I've no doubt she will be on the Olympic team-but she needs to learn a triple lutz. (not flutz). She has wonderful stamina and energy and frankly she is better then Kwan was at the same age.

I hate it when people say that. So pretty much some unkown skater who doesn't even have all their triples and has never been to nationals but ends up being better than caroline could win in 2010. nobody has any idea whos going to win in 2010.

So the only thing you can say is she is extremely talented and a beautiful skater with good quality jumps, that has a TON of potential and I would love to see her go for a gold medal in vancouver in 2010, because it looks like right now she definitly has teh ability, IM excited to seeif she can keep it up.

Love her! Give her time and she could be great. With a little growth, she won't have to "muscle" those jumps - they'll be less labored. She already has the spins and flexibility, she is right on track to be the next big thing!

Nevertheless, I am looking forward to seeing how she develops over the next few years. She can take her time because she won't age eligible for senior worlds for a few seasons yet.
