  • Hi everyone,

Thanks for your encouragement. We are so happy for the family too.

It's important to remember that other kids haven't been able to find a matching stem cell unit, their quality of life remains to be improved. This is why we believe it is so important to make all mothers aware of the service.

Future estimates place the likelihood of stem cell application at 1:200, and as the applications continue to increase, all of us can probably think of something that we'd like to enhance.

  • Truly a neat plan of action that worked out well for this family.

Choosing to 'bank' a few drops of blood from your baby's umbilical cord just in case they are needed in the future is something a brand new mum probably wouldn't automatically think about. Is there a plan to offer this routinely to all expectant mothers?

If so: How cost effective is it to bank millions of samples of millions of babies' blood vs the likelihood of their siblings developing leukaemia in the future? I'm curious!

  • What an inspiring video!

Is she still well until today?
