  • All you people who see "break the law, pay the fine" are ignorant. If you break the law, you should be ticketed by a POLICE OFFICER and have the RIGHT TO GO TO COURT IN FRONT OF A JUDGE TO CONTEST THAT TICKET. There should be no private companies generating revenue in that process. If you watch the video, he freaking busted him. THE GUY GIVING THE SO CALLED HEARING IS A PRIVATE CONTRACTOR. It's biased from the start. What a violation of American rights.

  • These are not actual hearings. They classify them as civil offenses instead of criminal offenses so they don't go to actual court. Cowards.

  • They are also hazardous to people with Photogenic problem's.... such as video game's to flashing bulb's. May have to look the Disease up....

  • Comment removed

  • CROOKS! 2 sets of books...How many others paid for tickets who their adjudicators had falsified documentation? DON'T TAKE PEOPLE! STAND UP!

  • Did anyone else notice the "judge" was not an elected official nor provided by the state, but was an Independant Contractor?

That is unlawful in every state in the union. They like to claim traffic violations are not criminal cases, but any case that CAN result in arrest as any part of the penalties is by definition Criminal Court.

  • its unconstitutional thats it plain and simple

  • everyone that is complaining about laws or who said what or who said that needs to ACTUALLY watch the whole video. Who cares who set the laws or who enforces them> LOOK AT WHAT THIS GUY IS SHOWING YOU!!! 1. laws are ignored and enforced at will. 2. knowledge and information is at their choosing. 3. your constitution is of no importance. 4. laws and rules are just that! MENT TO BE BROKEN. speeding is not even a fing CRIME under our constitution. EVERYONE needs TO WAKE UP AND FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT!

  • Your a fool. There are speed limits and that is a law. There are vehicle code rules and they are laws too. The law says you can't hit someone or do physical violance to them, I'm guessing you would feel this is a law that is meant to be broken as well. Your mentality on this is staggering.

  • Do the research clueless. Just becuae its a law doesnt mean its a law. YOu point to the location of the law that give the government power and jurisdiction to fine you for speeding. I have done YEARS OF research on this and YOu are wrong. please read more than code 5211. your so clueless

  • after watching this video, i must flag that everyone MUst watch thi video. Anyone and everyone that recieves a speeding ticket through a polics officer OR reflex scam SHOULD and MUst dispute this in court. PLease talke the day off and fight it. all traffic tickets are illegal and should be fought. in all, even if everyone fought their tickets, they would flood the system and cause and FORCE major changes. so please, as a friend and brother. fight this crap. take it to court....plz..

  • You have proven the point of ignorance. You not only feel that the photo system is wrong but you also feel that a police officer issuing you a ticket is wrong and you do not have to follow any law that you don't agre with. This is precisly the problem. RoganSF I am so happy you posted because you have proven my point to a T. Thank you again!!!

  • everyone should take notice of these guys actually DOING something about these things. fight all your tickets, waste the courts times cuase ALL TICKET ARE ILLEGAL. flood the system. doing to court knowing your right it actually fun. specially when it makes EVERYONE else MAD. ...hmm. play golf or stay in court. of course the judge is mad... LOL seriously, fight all tickets. represent yourself and fight it. there are many many ways to do it. pm for details

  • First, I do not work for Redflex and secondly, what everyone seems to keep missing is that IF YOU ARE NOT BREAKING THE LAW THEN THERE IS NOTHING TO CATCH. It is definitly America, the only country where our motto is " I take no responsibility for my actions". Grow up and follow the law and there would be nothing for them to catch. Take some frigging responsibilty for yourself and your actions and the law wouldn't have to do it for you.

  • Grow up and understand The Constitution of The United States of America...then get back with me.

  • Ok, Mr. "Grown Up", how would you solve the speeding problem for all these areas and keep the police available to work on other issues without spending any additional money because obviously you do not require that any of these people be responsible for their actions, so what's your plan to fix it? By the way, what I do understand is that back when the constitution was written people had to be more responsible for themselves but as you have proven that is not reaquired anymore

  • 1) Extorting the public is no way to solve any problem whatsoever, including speeding.

    2) Lafayette did not and does not have a huge problem with speeding. We had a few racers ruin it for everyone; and our mayor was told NO on a new tax, then WHAM we got slapped with this program. Not working, by the way.

  • their is NO speeding problem. saying that if you dont break the law your not in trouble. well i ask you, whrre in the WORLD does the american government get the power to give speeding tickets. slickwatcher was referring to "protect and maintain individual rights" so explain to me and clickwatcher how its breaking the law... i take responsibility for myself and can speed when i think its ok. not taxing and fining for not driving within their regulations. diansworld. you need to learn

  • Well, you are partially right, speeding is against the law, but you can speed when you feel it is safe but by doing so you are breaking the law and have to suffer the results of those choices. So, break the law and pay the fine.

  • Redflex does not decide when a citation is issued. A person for the city views the videos and decides if a violation will be issued. These citations are issued under the city ordinance so they are legal and Redflex's only job is to film the violation and after they have been approved by the city, then a citaiton is issued. So, how does that make redflex bad. If you have issues with the ordinance then deal with the city

  • Thanks for weighing in REDFLEX! They come into the State of Louisiana, city by city, and convince the councils of LA that their constituants are all law-breakers and they can help control them. It's good to know that Redflex has a P.R. Dept. to try to deceive the general public.

    Is this still America??

  • they are NOT legal. just becasue a law is a law, its not a law becuase its a law. speeding and traffic tickets ARE ALL ILLEGAL. the problem with redflex is the company knows this, but someon in the company is greeding and does not care. THAT in itsself is the problem with EVERYTHING. noone cares about whats right and wrong. its just can they profit from it. i would like to meet the guy who ones the company. cuase he is a sad sad sad rude ignorant man. so are you if your not upset about these

  • ok, so if your family is killed by a speeding car that hits them then I can only assume that you will say, oh well, the law is meant to be broken and after all speeding should be allowed. I say that if trying to enforce the LAW makes you a sad man then bring on all the sad men because somebody has to maintain control of the idots

  • your clueless. The guy speeding is responsible for his actions. maybe if people would allow themselves to be intelligent and be self responsible for their actions. Requiring a government to TELL YOu what to do is a sign or ignorance. i said SPEEDIng is allowed, no0t going inbeteeen traffic @ 120mph in a 25 zone. learn the difference ignorant clown. and thinkign htat someone needs to control idiots is why you believe speeding should be a law. clearly you dont undestand the constitution

  • the issue is NOT speeding. if someone wrecked into my family . the problem is from doing soemthign you could not control. if you cant control your vehicle or its dangerous, DONT DO IT. but limiting everyone speeds for "safety" is a lie. 7% of wrecks are from "speeding". having a responsible society who can decide whats safe or not is what we need. NOT laws and more laws to tell you waht to do. what kind of soceity DO you want to live in. i dont need to be told what to do to be safe.

  • Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano announced on Friday her expectation that the state's new freeway speed cameras would generate $90 million in net profit for fiscal year 2009, plus $34 million for the private companies selected to operate the program.

  • In the following year, what the state labels "non tax increase revenue generation" will jump to $120 million, plus $45 million more for the ticket vendors, for a total of $165 million. After 2010 revenue is expected to exceed this amount significantly as the program grows beyond 100 fixed and mobile speed cameras and high occupancy vehicle lane (HOV) ticketing cameras are brought online. The state currently faces a $1.3 billion deficit.

  • "This budget shortfall is an opportunity to make government more efficient and effective," Napolitano said in a statement touting a budget that "does not raise taxes."

  • Napolitano had ordered a state takeover of Scottsdale's automated ticketing pilot project after noting that six cameras there generated 110,962 tickets worth $17 million in 2006. Australian vendor Redflex was chosen to operate the state's photo radar van pilot project while ATS beat its down-under rival for the right to issue tickets with fixed cameras in Scottsdale.

  • A study documented a 54 percent increase in rear-end collisions and a 9 percent increase in injuries from rear-end collisions as a result of the cameras' use.

  • Dianaswrld--Ha. Bull crap. Going 32MPH in a 25 BFD. The'ticket' is about revenue. So, let's say you get pulled over by a private security person 'rent a cop' in a car for 'speeding' and they issue you an 'invoice'. Do you pay it? Is that constitutional? Let me answer both for you. No. Your 'the private companies are just doing there job' BS is just that-- I am disgusted by your blindness and apathy for an illegal, unconstitutional, failed system.

  • Redflex is only paid a processing fee just like any other company that would do paperwork for another. What people should be angry about is the people speeding and taking no responsibility for their actions. I find the lack of responsibility the shocking thing. If they were not speeding there would be nothing for them to worry about. Grow up. The citation was dismissed because of clerical error, but that does not negate the speeding portion of the violation which they took no responsibilty for

  • Are no bodies of the government appalled by the mockery of "law"? This is amazing, 21st century U S of A and our government is being run by foreign, publicly traded, for profit companies and they are using automated equipment!! Every public official bastard should be ashamed of themselves for not standing up and shutting this down. Its time for the government to be for the people, not in partnership with companies with a vested interested in the business of tickets.

  • Well, the local governments who install them share in the profits.

If I get one, expect to see me in jail for beating someone's ass. Might does make right in the case of a foreign entity imposing taxes (which is what a RedFlex invoice is) on a populace with no say-so in the matter.

  • What we've learned here. * Always demand a hearing. * Always pay in cash at the Redflex office. * Copy the envelope it's mailed in and send it to the postal inspector for mail fraud because it's marked OFFICIAL GOV'T BUSINESS. * Also a little bird told me one of our elected judges is very opposed to this corporate law enforcement by the executive branch to gain money for the executive branch. * Negative feedback always helps technology by killing it or improving it.

  • Two comments:

    1) I am amazed by the sheer contempt for average, ordinary citizens -- who are merely exercising their rights --- by the officials from the city of Lafayette shown in this video;

    2) I do not understand how it is legal for a public hearing to be held in the offices of a private, for-profit corporation, particularly a foreign-owned corporation, that has a vested monetary interest in having citizens found guilty.

  • Class action in Tennessee versus Redflex, or just shoot them in Knoxville TN: PirateNews*org/Kill-Robocops*html

  • Sue the liars. Fraud charges follow.

  • I love it, I love it, I love it!!!! Great job. What a sham traffic cameras are. Just another revenue tool for states to take your money.

Redflex should be heavily fined for fraud.!!!! Why the hell is an Australian company in charge of this anyway? WTF?

    Sue the liars.

  • Redflex is not in charge of the program you fool. They are paid to film the people that are violating the law, that's right the laws of the United States, and send out citations. Grow Up!

  • no sht, really? Blackwater is just a paid private firm too. Do you understand WHY agencies of government are privatized? So they do not have the same restrictions and legal responsibilities as set forth for government agencies. Poor innocent redflex, mandated by the government to impose illegal tickets on private citizens to fuel revenue for the state. WE PAY TAXES FOR THIS SERVICE. I bet you can't wait until private company checkpoints are set up to make sure you are wearing your seatbelt...

  • Kangaroo Court is great. But, where were the shrimp, the bar-b, and the abshire's bill of rights? Great job!!

  • Ha Ha Redflex pownd by there own incompetence!!!

    Great job guys. Great Video!!
