@pierceys234 you know this why? do you own a boating license? have you ever been in rough weather? if you don't slow down for a large wave, instead of riding over it, your going to crash through it, and if your a ship like this, huge and with a blunt front, your looking to cause damage. in this kind of weather, hitting a wall of water like this can be like hitting a brick wall due to water's incompressibility, if your not careful, you can even sink a ship with this kind speed and water.

@aon10003 partially, but not the contributing factor, it's likely the slow respond to the visor damage and the slow distress call that was the worst of the disaster, also, the poor design causing the entrapment of hundreds of people in the lower decks that killed the most people.

@pierceys234 the crash is evidence for my knowledge, they crashed through that wave, the two before they rode over them, if they were to slow down, they would have either just slowly cut through the big wave with the bottom of the hull or rode over it slow like the first two. it's the speed of the boat and the extra momentum of riding down the second wave that caused this and there's no reason for it, when you crash through waves like this, your looking for trouble and possibly safety citations.

Other wise what we see here will happen .. theyll take the initial wave riding over it.. however the massive swell caused on the other side will engulf it.
