there is no whistle which means the play is still active, he had every right to drill that QB. It was a bad call on the refs part because they were sleeping. until the whisle is blown the play is active and you keep pushin for that ball, every player knows that, even the commentator said, "did you hear a whistel?!" not every player could tell he took a knee, its hard to tell a squat from a knee. bad call from the refs. should have been a redo of downs. taking a knee is yellow.

I can't find any specific rules about the Qb knee, because EVERYONE THAT HAS EVERY TOUCHED A FOOTBALL UNDERSTANDS YOU DON'T HIT THE QB AFTER HE TAKES A KNEE. Yes you play to whistle unless the ball is obviously dead. in this case, it was.

that was one of the weirdest plays, ball snapped with a man over the line of scrimmage, no flag, QB kneel, no whistle, and then after about 3 seconds of awkwardness he gets tackled.

I disagree, he snapped it right as the guy crossed the line, if you look at that last clip, all the refs agree, but he didn't hit the guy until after the knee, which would normally be a penalty, but there was no whistle, so I don't know if that would be a technicality, but I think a personal foul was in order, I would have liked to see the encroachment call also though.
