with episodes like this i cant see why itv got rid of it. the only reason i can think of is that some slag in charge of things down at itv want think like take me out and shitty drama's.
Officers in the bill (as in real life) don't carry traditional batons, they carry more modern telescopic batons, they collapse into 3 sections, how ever they can be drawn very quickly. They're more practical (getting in and out of vehicles, and they don't bang against the knee when running) they also make officers more approachable to the public as when stowed. Look up ASP on google images.
If they're like American shows, The Bill writers may borrow topics from headlines, but then fictionalize their storylines so as not to compromise real police investigations.
@BRFC9109 A lot of filming in the bill takes place in and around the London Boroughs of Merton and Croydon. None of the investigations co-inside with any real life incidents, although when it comes to crime theres nothing new under the sun. How ever certain things mentioned such as "operation trident" are ongoing with in the MPS.
And there's Kathy from Eastenders. Are they short of actors or something, I've seen loads of these actors before in other things.
