  • your playing is great, and that's a beautiful guitar... love hearing falling slowly, I used to perform that one with mine :] I love mine to pieces, I have a GA4 plug in (414ce but no cutaway). I just replaced all of the chrome hardware with gold since it's aging, and it's now a beautiful golden color. Honestly I've never played a Taylor I didn't like, although I wasn't a huge fan of the 916. I like the sound of the ovangkol better. Taylors are fantastic guitars, truly.

  • @pocketofblue thanks for your kind comment! you're absolutely right, the 4-series ovangkol Taylors are some of the best guitars ever :)

  • Dude what would you rank this guitar out of 10? I am planning on ordering one and puting a fishman real earth blend in it.

  • @fizbatch Ranking is highly subjective, I would personally say overall 8 out of 10, but for the money the GA3 is easily one of the best acoustic guitars on the market.

  • I played this model in the store and I liked it, however I felt the action was too high. Did you lowered the action on yours?.

  • @sccanj The action on this one was actually very good. I now own a Taylor GS6 and I had to lower the action on it. Taylors are known for awesome playability but every guitar still needs a proper setup (truss rod, saddle height etc.) to match one's preferences.

  • I used to own a 214 all wood like this model but yours sounds a lot better. Wish I could find one to try out. Sounds awesome!

  • great playing. have you played the ga4 at all? i played the ga3 at the store and it sounds and feels great, but they didn't have the ga4. i was wondering how the two compare.

  • @mautsukuda I played a 414ce, which is a GA4 with cutaway and electronics. Awesome guitar as well, to my ears it sounded actually fairly similar to the GA3 but with a slightly deeper voice. The GA3 is also surprisingly loud and very balanced.

  • i love taylor guitars!

I'm working with a Cort NTL right now.. the sound comes really close to a taylor.

But I love the bright sound, and the clear bassnotes of the taylor guitars

    Nice playing btw!

    Florian ;)

  • @Alfons665 That Cort of yours smokes! ;) Some great tunes there too!
