you need a steady supply of HHO at 5-7psi directly into the intake to run that motor. If it was truly out of petrol then it started briefly because you had an initial buildup of HHO that was enough to start the motor, but your production is too low to maintain, hence the stall.
A bubbler will add a great deal of safety to your experiments.
it ran out of Hydrogen, you need more production.. if you wait for 30 or so seconds and let the generator run it will fire up again.. and then die.. add another generator or 2 and it will run ;)
I'm working on a similar project but with a much larger generator.Since the conversion of electrical energy going in is only 75%-80% efficient in relation to energy from the gas produced by electrolysis I'm thinking the battery won't last too long. I just don't think a 100?% hho powered engine can be self supportive. But hell lets see how close we can get.Oh and by the way the bubbler isn't necessary on a 100% hho piston engine if timed right.
you should really put a flashback arrester in that line befor you go BOOM,and try adding a fuel pump in the line to add vacuum to the system, mine is a T bottom is 16 inches with a tower 2 feet tall for greater amount of hho 17 plates stainless 2" by 12" i get more then i need to run the rider,my trouble is setting up a PWM so as not burn my gen out, testing new metal too try the gold carpet strip that goes in the doorways,i'm getting no amp drain or heat up of plates or connections, but nice job
I hate to agree with naysayers on this one but I think your hydrogen output is too low to do much. I had way more bubbles on my first try and barely got my lawnmower to sputter to life a few times. Be safe (get a bubbler) and keep trying!!
You need a blow off port some where on that gas tube just in case of backfire, and your not produceing enough gas. Maybe with 6 of those setups you will kind of get it to run longer. Bigger is not always better or I would be useing 55gal drums and my 1000 amp welder.
i did the same at home, and i got all excited when it ran with out the fuel line connected for about 30seconds, then conked out. was just left over petrol. there has to be some way you can get it to run on the gas.
I did run the engine until it stopped after I pulled the gas line off. I think my next one will run my mower completely, it is going to be bigger, about 2 feet by 1 foot by 1 foot tall and made from clear acrylic.
@outie555 it ran till it ran out of Hydrogen, you need more production.. if you wait for 30 or so seconds and let the generator run it will fire up again.. and then die.. add another generator or 2 and it will run ;)
for a fuel cell to run a lawn mower, it's really not putting out much gas. that output is not even enough to get a weed eater goin.

You need a hydrogen injector for it to run on 100% water.

u used the same desing as the powertube lol.. btw there not air bubbles its hydrogen and ocsigen

did you ever get your lawn mower to run on total hydrogen ?

gas in carb bowl simply ran out. Woopee.

Hmm. That is not possible to run that lawnmower on that small hydrogen gas amount.

I really hope that you can get it to work. Good job mate.

@outie555 thats how cause thats how mine runs on propane and its generly the same but you need to use a drill and crank it continusly
