  • Awesome road. Thanks for sharing.

  • what kind of pipe you have on it?

  • @yzfrider249

Delta Barrel 4 exhaust. Can be found at wheelingcyclesupplyDOTcom

  • how much air can it get b4 it bottoms out?

  • @Nascarrr48

your guess is as good as mine

  • This looks like a lot of fun.

Have you ridden 2 up with it?

  • @StayGold505

I attempted once and it was no bueno. I weigh in around 165, my passenger was around 125 - 130 and it just wasn't good. Bike was hard to turn and felt very unstable. Would never do it again....

  • what's the top speed?

  • @Vulturespeed

Perfect conditions on flat ground I have topped out around 91mph, on flat with wind at my back I have seen the speedo at 106mph. Downhill WOT in 6th I have seen 99mph on the speedo.

  • I think I might have fallen in love with this bike.infrastructure, are the tires too small? Because I saw the dimensions of the 2012 model and they are larger but not as beefy as the earlier models, what would you suggest, 2012 (basically nothing new except tires, color, and maybe the frame) or the 2010 to spare a few bucks?

  • @UnionOfTheMind

If you can find a new leftover 2010 and spare a few bucks, hop on it!

  • are you bored of the power?

  • @jackpizzo1

Not bored of the power at all, it has enough power for me. With that said...there are times that I wish I could squeak a little more out of it, but over all after 2 years of riding this bike I am still pleased and very impressed with it.

Sport bikes definitely pull hard from me on the straights, but when we hit the twisties and I am passing them their eyes look like they are going to pop out of their heads.

  • What year is your bike?

  • @KPthereal1

    2010 wr250x

  • Comment removed

  • @jackpizzo1 wheelingcyclesupplyDOTcom

  • Nice Micro mirror

  • This is Mt. Lemon isn't it?

  • @721069

Yes this is Mt. Lemmon in Tucson, Az

  • nice man beautifull place to ride

  • @erealpe13

    Thanks man....

  • Great view, nice roads. :)

  • 2:15 must have been an epic moment on this tour.

  • Very good vid mate, quality.Your bike sounds great and you got a good pace, love it !

  • ive hit 101mph on my wr250x before on flat but i was tucked in all the way to my handlebars to reduce drag

  • fucking beautiful view.

  • im 5`9 am i too short?

  • @plehdehgame not at all

  • @ Moro - this video was shot around 0445 during summer time here in Arizona.

  • and what time is it when u ride?

  • how many hp stock and full power?:D

  • love this kind of ride!!! nice video dude!! what gearing you use??? cheers ;)

  • @soheilrnr

To tell you the truth I am not sure. I left front and rear sprockets stock, not sure on teeth count for front and rear.

  • @Infrastructure any mods??

  • @Infrastructure and gas mileage??? do you use any mods??cheers ;)

  • @ don4njo

Top speed on flat is between 85 - 90 mph. Downhill WOT in 6th I've hit 99 mph

  • @ BlackMesaSecurity

Thank you for the kind words. Sometimes there is no need for music, I prefer hearing that 4 stroke purrrr.....

  • @ Theloss52

I could be going faster? Easy for you to say, riding a 1000rr when I'm on a 4 strike 250.

Vid shot with a gopro HD

  • you could be going a bit faster.... this coming from a cbr1000 rider. I would love to know what cam your using though,

  • Comment removed

  • great sound and the views are perfect

  • Great vid!! So nice to see a riding vid with nothing but the sounds of the ride instead of crap music. Great scenery too. Makes my choice of either a drz400s or wrr easier too.

  • max speed?

  • this or the drz400sm, can't decide

  • wana see more vids like this there sick

  • Whats the top speed on your bike? is it stock? and can you cruise easy at 65

  • is it underpowered for the street, and will a rider like me whose been riding a tw200 ds quickly outgrow it?

  • Bought the mirrors from wheelingcyclesupplyDOTcom

  • Love those mirrors. Where'd they come from?

  • It's not underpowered at all. I go on group rides with 600's & 1k's. They may lose me on the straights but when it gets twisty they can't believe their eyes when I'm passing em like they are standing still.

  • is it very underpowered?

  • NO PORK? HAHA! Dude That's one of the best ways ive heard the term used. I enjoyed that. Vids are fantastic keep em coming.

  • I absolutely need one of these!!! Just gotta wait for the right one to show up on craigslist hehehe

  • Being that I'm looking to get that same bike, and I'm moving to Arizona in the fall, I have to ask; where is this road? Are there more like it?

  • @Wolfsburg639

There are plenty of twisty fun roads throughout Arizona. The road in this video is the Mt. Lemmon Hwy in Tucson, Az.

  • @Infrastructure

That's great news. I'm moving to Tuscon in October. I'm about to purchase my own 250X as well; hopefully this weekend. I'll have to message you when I get down there and settled in so you can show me the twisties.

  • this or the dr650se, and also would this bikes dualsport cousin be a viable option in the street department

  • can you cruise for small amounts of highway comfortably?

  • @jackpizzo1

depends on what you consider comfortably? What speeds are your highways? I'm in Arizona and most of our highways are 75mph. I find it easy to cruise for any amount of time at that speed on the highway, only problem I find is being blown around by the wind gusts from other vehicles. This bike is very light so it gets blown around quite easily.

  • how easy is it to pull up at high speeds? im thinking of selling my 500r and 125sx for one

  • @125sxking

Remember top speed on flat is about 85mph or so, top speed downhill WOT in 6th I've hit 97. With that being said, what do you consider high speed? The bike pulls rather well between 50 - 70.

  • @Infrastructure

Oh alright. main concerns are can i keep up with 600's when i go for group rides and wheelies.. can i clutch it up at 50 or does it not have enough power?

  • @125sxking

check my other vid "saguaros and my wrx250"...I'm riding with gixer 1k's, several gixer 600's, and I'm following a xz-14 and a rc51...at one point the zx-14 and rc51 flat out take off on me but in the corners I'm all over their ass. You'll also notice that not 1 bike passes me....how you think that is for keeping up with bigger bikes?

Stock you would not be able to clutch it up at 50, with some mods no problems my friend. If you're in Az let me know and you can check it out yourself

  • @Infrastructure

Sounds good man.. i wish i was around there but ill try and ride one to decide.. Its either a wrx or an 03-04 636

    decisions decisions

  • No head shake on the bike at all, even at 90+. This IS a dirtbike. Do some research & you'll find Yamaha produces 3 versions of the WR.

  • Do these bikes have speed wobble and are they more comfy than dirtbikes?

  • great ride.....:)

  • @kogiaka

    relax

  • Is your bike stock?

  • @TheWooR6

No...check other vids for list of mods

  • i vacationed there this year and i bet the ride would have been better in that fashion.... went up all 25 miles and back in a chevy suburban. great vid great place

  • 5:59 You going for 7th? :-P I always do that on whatever bike i drive :P

  • Cool video. Try putting tape over the mic of the camera so you get less wind noise...

    Just a suggestion.

  • Isnt is so awesome when you pretty much get a road to yourself? I think I will be getting me a WR250X pretty soon.

  • I've been riding since I was five and racing since I was eight, this bike is gonna be mine on my sixteenth birthday, 117 Days to be exact!

  • What the MAX speed of this bike? I thinking about getting this or a DRZ.

  • @boysinblack

So far I have hit 96 or 97 downhill WOT in 6th. WOT 6th on flat I top out around 86 or 87 mph. I weigh in at 165lbs.

  • @Infrastructure Cool well im 130bls. Small guy after boot camp im thinking about a little fun bike other than my R6. Keep it in the Yamaha family.

  • Whare is that?

  • @airsofthero1

Mt Lemmon highway in Tucson, Arizona

  • Just curious, what camera are you using to shoot this with?

Also I am looking into a wr250x, do you ever find that its topping out or struggling to keep up with high speed traffic?

  • @em613

shot with a gopro hd camera mounted on the right chin bar of my dirt helmet.

I find I have no problem keeping up with high speed traffic, but I very rarely ride my bike on the highway.

  • hey! where did you get those handguard/mirrors? I like the looks of em compared to those stock big ones.. and where is this place? it'sbeautiful.

  • @USMCthedevildog

    wheelingcyclesupplyDOTcom

  • Very nice, epic road ans scenery...weird mirrors on your bike thou :P

  • wow nice road, id burn a few gallons down there :)

  • Nice. At around the 6 minute mark I see you on 96 ot 97mph?

  • @tosgem

yes but that was WOT 6th with a slight downhill grade....

  • hey infrastructure, what do you think of the wr250x as a first bike honestly? thanks

  • @N41MUN94

If this had been my first bike....oh man, I could only dream! This bike is PERFECT as a first bike when wanting to learn how to ride on trails or the pavement.

  • @Infrastructure so you don't think it has too much power or anything for someone with no experience? thanks for the quick reply

  • @N41MUN94

Dont get me wrong...the bike has power, but its nothing a first time rider couldnt handle given the rider has had proper instruction from a competent instructor. The bike as it sits stock, I thought was actually rather weak...and even with all the mods I have done now to the bike, I find myself wishing it had more behind it. Just do not ride beyond your abilities and always always always wear your gear!

  • where is this road ?? so beautiful !! please answer me :)

  • @paulotusmcbite

This road is in Tucson, Arizona USA. It is the Mount Lemmon Highway.

  • @Infrastructure thank you very mutch :)

  • @paulotusmcbite

No problem....if you and your bike ever make it to Tucson and want to ride the Mt Lemmon Hwy just hit me up and you will have someone to ride with.

  • @Infrastructure ho yeah ! thank you men ! i'm french and so i live in france :) but i often go in usa , my aunt live in miami , my father is a biker and ride a harley davidson and my mom to , they really love the usa :) next year i maybe travel accross the usa , but whith a harley ... --' but i'm a supermoto rider ! i've a MZ 125 SM and my best friend a WR 125 X =D my next bike is the WR 250 X with a fmf exhaust or a leo vice exhaus=D i really appreciate your proposition =D

  • Nice video..Quite relaxing. Is the camera mounted on the top of your helmet or do you have it strapped on yourself somewhere?

  • @jordan2252

I have the camera mounted on the right side of my helmet towards the front of my jaw. The camera is barely noticeable in my field of vision, I barely even notice it anymore.

  • that is a great video. i wouldnt get tired of riding that setting day after day. what kind of mileage do you get with that bike and how much is it usually to fill the tank?

  • @lowbudgetmoviefilms

I have heard of ppl getting close to 100 - 115 mpg on this bike, but that is bone stock plus being very conservative with the throttle. I have some work done to my bike and I personally have a jerky wrist so my mileage suffers due to that. The tank is a 2.01 gallon tank and I can usually squeeze anywhere from 70 - 100 miles out of a tank depending on how hard I get into the throttle and what type of roads I am riding.

  • awesome video man... and those mirrors are sweet

  • do u go flat out on the accel after changing gears ?

  • @whatscrakn101

Yes after shifting usually I am WOT....why do you ask?

  • @whatscrakn101

Yes usually after shifting I am WOT....why do you ask?

  • Beautiful! Street, mountains, landspace hmmm im from poland and im jealous :)

  • video quality is stunning, really had me thinking i was riding your beautiful bike :)

you think its reliant enough also as a daily commuter ?

  • @yabba234

I know for a fact it is reliable enough as a daily driver. Only time of year I dont ride the bike is monsoon season. Only time I drive my truck is if I am buying shit or need to haul shit.....otherwise its the bike.

  • @yabba234 I have used mine as a daily commuter and racked up 21,000km (about 13,000miles) on freeways and in suburbs. It has been excellent, not given me a single problem. In that time, the only maintenance I've done is oil changes, filter changes, 1 new rear tyre, and 1 chain and sprocket set. It's very economical in both fuel consumption and maintenance as a commuter. It's also lots of fun compared to some "commuter" bikes.

  • I like your video. Please tell me, can you ride very slowly in the city (for example behind cars), with smooth ? (Please understand, I´ve buy a XT 6000 in the past and sell it with 500km, because were to aggressive in lower shifts and were very difficult riding in the city. I´m afraid buying the WR 250 X and have the same problem, please tell me your personal experience, from a rider to another. Thanks very very much for your time. Luis ;)

  • @luispessoa27

I ride the bike around town too. I use it as my daily driver most of the time. It is very smooth in traffic, no worries!

  • great video man. I love it, and has good quality. ;)

  • nice dude really like your bike keep the vids comin'
