  • My class recently read the book and watched the movie today. It's odd seeing this as a show

  • I saw this on Broadway. Hands down the best musical Broadway has ever seen. I've been praying for years that they revive this.

  • Mice have extremely sensitive hearing! It is appalingly wrong to blast the poor thing's ears like that, if he's really singing onstage in the musical.

  • Broadway had really pulled a Charlie Gordon

  • Musicals are great. Flowers for Algernon is great.

    This is not great.

  • I think it would have been more theatrical if they had an actor playing Alernon. Human actors play the mice/rats in the Nutcracker and people almost always play him in the umteen student film versions of it here on You Tube. If people think the costumes in The Lion King are so teriffic, that approach might work with this show as well.

  • wtf how gay

  • that poor mouse must be so frightened at 0:25

  • that just screws up the Flowers for Algernon image

  • What in the heck? This is just wrong. I can't even think of anything that cheery in the book(or play)

  • I would just type repeated dots of confusion, but those dots would probably need dots of their own

  • That didn't look right.

So that's the reason why I'm roflmao right now :D XD

  • i didnt know this was made into a musical.. i thought it was just a play. hm.. the story is actually really sad.. I wonder why it's potrayed so positively here.

  • I'm playing Dr. Strauss in a amateur production of the original non-musical play FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON. I've yet to see the musical, but I read about it in an article on the Internet. Personally, I can't see the play as a musical, given its content, and the commercial, frankly, looks a bit...cheesy.

  • we're doing this at my school next week

    i'm the mommma (: hah

  • Do you get to threaten Charlie with a knife (as she does in the original play)?

  • heh ): i wish! D: haha

  • Too bad! We just wrapped up the play, and one of the highlights in our show is a scene when a mature Charlie visits his mother, seeing her for the first time after she dumped him at the institution. He wants to show that he is now a genius, only to find that she is old and in dementia, and tries to attack him with a knife. Harrowing scene.

  • "A VERY SPECIAL MUSICAL" thats not right!!!!!!

  • looks stupid

  • GREAT musical!!! I played the part of Charlie in the one and only Dutch show. Every member of the audience was enthousiastic. Why is it that there is no producer that wants to bring this show to the audience?...

  • WHAT THE HELL????

that doesn't sound appropriate to the book AT ALL!

  • This is a nice trailer, but it's not Michael Crawford. :(

  • Thank God.

  • who said it was Michael Crawford?

  • In the description it said so DreamBoyUSA
