You can feel the romantic tension between them, even if they keep everything sort of...professional in their relationship.

That's what's so great about Fire Emblem, the character's personalities and interactions can be that complex and not always cliche. No wonder these elements are considered as core factors that made the franchise so special and unique in a certain way.
