It is also important to realize that there is a very large difference between a technical degree and an engineering degree. The University of Maryland has the only ABET accredited undergraduate Fire Protection Engineering program in the country.
@JSB1983 No this degree is not considered a technical (vocational) degree. The Fire Protection and Safety degree is an ABET Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology. The Maryland Fire Protection Engineering program was founded by an OSU FPST graduate (Dr. John L. Bryan)!
@mattleeisgay1 You reference that there is a big difference between our technical degree and the Maryland engineering degree. So what then is the practical difference if we obtain our EIT at graduation, work under a PE for (5) years then sit for and obtain our P.E.?
For those of you looking at schools it very important to remember that OSU is 1 of only 2 ABET accredited schools in the country. That accreditation is very important. There are schools out there that promise a lot, but do not measure up to the education at OSU. As a double graduate I can promise you a fantastic experience.
"Wow, im glad i didnt sit in the chair" LOLLOLOLOL ...what?? hahah

Good video. I'm jealous they didn't have the burn capabilities when I was there!
