The only help i can offer is using the console if you're on pc... Also the game should autosave everytime you go through a door so check all your saves!

When I did that I got invisible, not to the NPC, only to myself, it sucked... After a weak i found in the internet that the shout become etheral could fix me, I'm glad it did :D

I think that the best followers that you can get in the game is J'zargo from the College of Winterhold and Mjoll the Lioness in Riften. I've gone through about ten companions, half of which have been killed (my fault) and my roommate went with J'zargo and I'm constantly seeing J'zargo killing EVERYTHING by himself. Oh and Mjoll happens to be immortal for some reason. I found this out completely by accident, I swear. (Her buddy Aerin isn't immortal though and I regret nothing)

@Dr5269 they are blue mage robes, i think i got them after killing some mages somewhere for the college i think. defeat the leader of the mages and take her robes :P

@BxLxUxExxAxNxGxExL5 Yes Brelyna is a great combat addition she uses spells and from time to time she uses atronachs and when se is low on health she runs off and uses healing spells,tough her spells make noise and she is not the great choice for the sneaky type.I took her as a companion then I married her.... as a nord

This slightly bugged on me when I went through it. She was standing in the other room, and her transformation spells are ranged attacks. She kept blasting the wall, which stopped her from changing my character.

Make sure that your character and her are in a space that's open enough that this doesn't happen to you. Thankfully the script continued playing, and the NPC eventually walked out of the room enough to finish the script.
