  • that drummer!

  • is it just me or does heineken taste skunky.crappy beer cool commercial

  • hieneken :)

  • If Muhammad is Indian then why is the singer in the Heineken commercial chinese?

  • @511Garcia Muhammad Rafi was am Indian singer who sang this song in 1965 for the Hindi movie Gumnaam. He died in 1980, long before the Heineken commercial was filmed.

The guy in the Heineken commercial was just lip synching to the song, he wasn't actually singing it.

  • @511Garcia You should see the original song clip and then you will understand why this song was used in Ghost World and the Heineken Ad. It is mind-blowing considering the video clip came out in 1965. And yes, the guy singing in this new clip is also lip-synching.

    Watch .... watch?v=XnBbjc5hmho

  • @511Garcia India is actually on the continent of Asia. *"The More You Know" logo* ^___^

  • @511Garcia He didn't look East Asian at all. He actually did look Indian or Middle Eastern, perhaps.

  • i guess i owe a big thanks to heineken for this awesome tune & there beers not bad either, thank you heine : )

  • @GiantHog1

Mohammed Rafi did not drink Heineken!

  • @Yamamanama AND HE WAS NOT ASIAN!

  • @PoutineProductions

Indian people are technically Asian since the country is located in Asia.

  • @rafflecupter what do you mean technically. Your statement implies we are Asian on a technicality. We are Asian based on definition not a technicality.... Im just trying to nitpick lol

  • @rafflecupter Watch the Heineken Commercial and you would know what I mean. I think theres chinese or japanese and they put that song.

  • That's a sick drum solo at the beginning!

  • wat language is this

  • @1995signin Songs from a old famous movie made in India called "Gumnaam" so probibly Indian I'm guessing :)

  • @blkhyundaisonata ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... okay! lol

  • @blkhyundaisonata Indian is not a language just so you know. There are multiple languages spoken in India. This is Hindi

  • @1995signin,

This track is from an Indian movie called "Ghumnaam" meaning "The Unknown". The movie was a murder mystery suspence thriller released in 1965 and did great business in it's day.

The music director is the legendary due of "Shankar And Jaikishan" who have few hundred movies to their credit.

The singer is the one and only Supreme playback singer "Mohmed Rafi" who has over 25,000 songs sung to his credit.

You can watch the Original at : watch?v=aHA_S48KRrI&feature=related

  • aheheheheheheeeeee

  • At first i thought this was some cool oriental song or something >.<

  • I LOVE this freakin' song!!!! Thanks to the new Heineken commercial called, "The Date", for turnin' me on to it. ♥

  • besides the song being foreign what genre of music would this be?

  • @TheSNash87 I think it would be indian rock and roll. Defenetly has that rockabilly feel.

  • @TheSNash87 Ignore my last comment, the proper genre for this song is just plain Rock and Roll, not indian rock and roll even though its foreign you just put "Rock and Roll". I know because i asked my music teacher he has his doctorate in music. Hope this helps.

  • great Movie! thora and scarlett are HAWT as UCKF! steve buscemi is cool too. i think this is scarletts 1st movie??? idk. good flick tho.
