  • is this a movie or reality?

  • Good message, but the matter is almost identical to Robin William's speech in Good Will Hunting.

    Not appreciating the plagiarism.

  • Wish that I have the chance to tell everyone how beautiful they are , eventhough sometimes they are annoying -.-

  • Nobody is imperfect. One thing that erks me so..is when people treat each other terribly. See that pregant teen over there? She was raped. See that guy doing his homework from last night? He convinced his friend out of suicide. See that man with the ugly scars? He forught for our country. See that guy who is sobbing? His mothere is dying. See that fat woman? She has a health pronlem. Don't judge people. You don't know their life. Think before you judge or bully. You dont know their story. :/

  • Beautiful :) Heart touching.

  • So basically she was saying: "So to my beautiful children: I hope one day you too (or two) find yourselves life partners who fart like your father did." Lol

  • Beautiful!

  • I know that love. This wasn't anything more than reminding everyone that the "perfect" mate as the modern world blares at us doesn't exist. Those little things... the annoyances, the sounds, socks on the living room floor - it's little stuff. You're going to miss it when it's gone. Because when my husband is gone, who's socks will I sigh over then? <3

  • awww I wanted to hear her imperfections as well

hopefully her children will do that when she pops off

  • soo beautifull and soo sad...:((( Why the all people from the world can't love with other?....:(We are humans and we have one life...:(:X....

  • it is really a nice ad. its true that even if our enemy die we feel we have lost someone important , his memories never die coz there will be no more of envy it will be silence , and silence and loneliness kills. we all need some reason to live no matter reason is good or bad

  • It was quite a good video. Though I really loved the music that played toward the end. Anyone know where I could find it? It sounds like a magnificent piece.

  • @AceShooter08001

Hola. I don´t know who plays that music you´re asking about (the video gives no credits of anything - not even to "Good Will Hunting") but if you like it, I´m thinking you´ll like Ryuichi Sakamoto. Here´s a sad but beautiful piece by him (look up Bibo No Aozora, especially the version with strings):

  • @enbuscadeactor Thank you, you've been a real help.

  • Stolen from Good Will Hounting!

  • beautiful!!!! and True

  • It is one of the most absurd commercial I have seen.

  • awwww.... D= so true

  • life does stop when your loved one leaves you...it becomes hell when she hates you

  • lycrahoofie ur the epitome to the reason why people in this world cannot get along. i do think u should learn to stfu...or maybe ur deaf..if u are sorry bro...

  • :-( really touching...

  • the best speech ever.

  • : ` (

  • This made me cry.......

  • That's depressing.

Its really funny and sad at the same time...

thanks for share this to us...

if somebody know where can I find the full video plz tell me.

    thanks!

  • @DxMaku : this is a social commercial in Singapore for multiracial family there. It is more touching for Singaporeans, since it really reflects their life.

  • @DxMaku u may find more details @

    thinkfamily.sg

  • Love Conquers All and always stand tall, so lets love and love hard, where it never dissolves!!! Haiti We Love You, Latwanuia Henry

  • wow, this is touching, and although I haven't seen anyone comment about this (maybe you have) I like the inter-racial mix. I think, although some might disagree, it actually added to the 'touchingness' of this ad.

  • this almost made me cry. that was beautiful.

  • Excellent....

  • This is really heart-touching.

  • absolutely beautiful

  • Beautiful

  • The heart wrenching music score at the end really gets to me.

  • This may be the most amazing clip i have ever seen.

  • I HATE YOU LIANE! =[ LOLOLOL!

  • Ive been stumbled and I cried

  • This is fucking good shit.

  • No need to ruin it jtchen22, just capture the moment

  • How is that ruining it?

  • Very good.. The only thing this awfully resembles to what robin williams says in good will hunting when he talks about his wife.

  • At the beginning it really started well, but near the end i forget to wipe off my tears rolling through my eyes. we are really losing the precious moments we share with our family in this fast moving world. This simple video touched my heart .

  • perfectly beautiful... <3

  • Brilliant, human, inspiring!!

  • I could relate to it.... this is exactly how it was when my father was alive.... He was down and sick for almost 4 year ... when he was gone...none of those sounds were there.... :-(((

  • so touching and made me cry...

it also made me to love more the people around me ...

  • Funny and sad.

  • Comment removed

  • very nice..am right now having issues with my dad..and he lives miles away from me and this video made me understand that even with his imperfections, I do not want to miss the moments..very touching...

  • @aswanik2 Well said. <3

  • oh how this made me cry i just lost my brother and its true its the little things that matter thank you for making me see this and thank you sam for sending it to me

  • this i so damn touchin, made me cry

  • it made me cry too ='(

  • this made me cry haha

  • most moving eulogy ever!

  • simply.... "Beautifully Imperfect"

  • This is so very moving and true to life. We are all beautifully imperfect. Thanks to you, to Rachel and to EmC for sharing. ♥

  • i almost shed a tear when i saw this one. i was moved.

  • it really is so nice tribute... i love it...

  • i've always loved Yasmin's works...

there should be more ppl like her who promote multiracial relationships...

may her rest in peace *_*

  • what a beautiful word

  • Family is THE MOST important thing in the world!

  • What a beautiful word.

  • Wow....mind blowing....

  • In life, ultimately is about LOVE, nothing is more precious than being LOVED & 2 love. Everyone desires 2 know LOVE, but LOVE is divine, above understandings of mere people. Hear an explanation of LOVE: "Love suffers long & is kind, love doesn't envy, doesn't parade itself; not puffed up, doesn't behave rudely, doesn't seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, doesn't rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in TRUTH; bears, believes, hope& endure all things. Love never fails. 1 Cor 13:4-8 (BIble)

  • life's imperfection, when there's love everything is secondary to that power. if you'd never had it, you don't know what I'm talking about here. not about money or fame but a spiritual human connection.

good point with "1 Cor 13".

  • sorry i didn't mean to do that! I wanted to give you a thumbs up but my finger slipped! Can someone like give this a thumb or something. Again, sorry.

  • Goodbye and RIP, Yasmin Ahmad...

  • so impressive and so touching.. im in tears

  • it seems so sad and yet so fitting that this was the last work of Yasmin Ahmad that I'd seen.

Her death only seems to bring deeper metaphors to this.

  • Its really heart touching and made me to realize the value of ur loved ones when alive...

  • Heart touching......

  • this is perfection ad.... that affect to audience effectively

  • whatever...my wife blames the dog's farts on me!

  • ratnes..

  • Until last night, I got irritated and I could not sleep with my husband's snoring but I realized after watching this video...how nice it is to hear your partner's imperfections...if it only means his perfectly alive..why not? afterall, life would not be as perfect w/o him...I am really very sorry for feeling bad when I hear him snore...this time (I swear), I will make it a music to my ears...simply because I will never live without him....

  • @acegenesis7 this is like the best comment ever.

  • nice .. its similar to the theme used in a scene in the movie "Good Will Hunting". Robin Williams tells Matt Damon 'People call those imperfections, but no, that's the good stuff.'

  • I am very touched!! A realistic tribute from a loving wife to a her cherished husband!!

  • For those who saw the beauty in this short 3 mins ad, congratulation. For those who only managed to see the imperfection, you probably followed the wrong link. Poor soul (if you're married - good luck, if you're not - thank God!).

  • Stolen from a Robin Williams comedy routine...

  • I just love it... But, it is true. The widow made me cry:(

  • yes! I cried too

  • This video is kinda touching if you think about it. Anyways, this is a great advertisment.

  • what a beautiful tribute of a wife...i find her "deep"...to the children, congratulations for a lovely mother...

  • Laughing and crying are so much fun to experience. Bravo to this valiant widow.

  • clearly inspired by the good will hunting scene in which robin williams remembers his dead wife.

  • well done Yasmin Ahmad... many thanks from SINGAPORE !

  • wow this is just AMAZING

  • i don't have words to say after seeing this

  • I totally cried.

  • the "what was that?" by david sounds a little racist.

  • Huh? In what way?

  • it's just the accent she said that in. there is a hint of hong kong accent and not all chinese speak this way. overall, i still like this ad though. this probably add to the motif of imperfection.

  • Oh I see. Yeah I do think it's a great ad as well.

Though, I have to say that this ad had became one of the factor that caused a particular problem in my life recently but oh well let's hope it's for the greater good.

  • even if it was a hong kong accent though, how is it racist?? she's his wife so she knows how he sounds... would it still have been racist if he was australian and so she imitated with an australian accent?

  • that is a damn beautiful wedding photo man

  • I CRIED...you'd know you truly love a person when the smell of his morning breath or his burping the back way does not bother you at all...much like the smell of a sweaty beloved child just makes you crinkle your nose and gently tap his butt to tell him to go take a bath...what this woman is saying clearly illustrates how our sensibilities never get offended when we love a person...we unconditionally love everything about that person...imperfections and all!

  • i agree with you...that's why we should love the person every minute while we are still alive..and be grateful what that person could have been.

  • they say you never miss the sunshine until the shadows fall...we should treat loved ones as if tomorrow's lost...

  • yes that's true. we've to think as if it was our last.

  • I CRIED...the mother of a dear friend used to tell us that you'd know you truly love a person when the smell of his morning breath or his burping the back way does not bother you at all...much like the smell of a sweaty beloved child just makes you crinkle your nose and gently tap his butt to tell him to go take a bath...this video clearly illustrates how our sensibilities never get offended when we love a person...we unconditionally love everything about that person...imperfections and all!

  • NO! I'm guessing you did, though, you sick bastard.

  • What a beautiful, touching, and loving tribute. It would have brought tears to my eyes, but .....

Life is fragile, how fleeting the quality of time spent with our loved ones. This video is for all family relationships, spouse, sibling, parents and then the worse loss of all, a child..

I hold back my tears because it hurts too much to cry. I lost my son nearly ten years ago and I miss him more each day.

Yes, we do remember and cherish the imperfections.

  • lot of indonesian batik here and there,

nice to see it , is it in singapore?

  • About ripped my hear right out! Loved it!

  • Imperfections are what actually make someone perfect.

  • Short but beautiful & powerful message

  • Very touching, it make me teary...

  • i am going to cry

  • This is a beautiful video...

  • 1st time SG Govt make good commercial

  • Very touching. Five stars all the way! What a heart this woman has!

  • Wow

  • thumbs up 4 yasmin de director fr m'sia.

    very touching advert.

nvr fail 2 tear mi wenever mi watch repeatedly.

de moral of de story : treasure ur luv 1s whyl dey r stil ard b'cos 1s dey r gone, u wil regret 4de rez of ur lyf 4 not fulfillin deir moments.

    *ChuCkLes*

  • this is one of the few ads in Singapore that I actually took notice of the very moment it started on mobtv

  • this video is truly awesome.

  • in my 25 yrs of watching TV commercials. this is the best commercial i ever watched. its not perfect but its beatiful..

  • Will: She woke herself up?

Sean: Ah...! But Will, shes been dead for 2 years, and that's the shit I remember: wonderful stuff you know? Little things like that. Those are the things I miss the most. The little idiosyncrasies that only I know about: that's what made her my wife. Oh she had the goods on me too, she knew all my little peccadilloes. People call these things imperfections, but there not. Ah, that's the good stuff.

~ Robin Williams as Sean Maguire, Matt Damon as Will Hunting.

  • Sean: My wife used to fart when she was nervous. She had all sorts of wonderful little idiosyncrasies. She used to fart in her sleep. I thought Id share that with you. One night it was so loud it woke the dog up. She woke up and went ah was that you? And I didnt have the heart to tell her. Oh!

  • Robin William even gave the same example of his wife having a loud fart that woke her up and him lying to her saying it was the dog. That part of the film is way sweeter and more touching that this ad. Real pity about the ad because I really enjoyed her movie Sepet. I love the fact that she promotes multi cultural relationships.

  • The video isnt that great honestly. If any of you have seen the movie Good Will Hunting (1997) you might feel the same. The part when Robin Williams character is talking to Matt Damons character, about the wife is quite reminiscent of this ad.

  • thanks for the comparison..i haven´t watched good will hunting, thanks for the spoiler though :)

  • it isn't a spoiler la. It's just one of the many many good parts of the entire story.

  • ok :)

  • I CRIED, a dear friend used to tell me that you'd know you truly love a person when the smell of his morning breath or his burping the back way does not bother you at all, much like the smell of a sweaty beloved child just makes you crinkle your nose and gently tap his butt to tell him to go take a bath, this video clearly illustrates how our sensibilities never get offended when we love a person, we unconditionally love everything about that person, imperfections and all!

  • there is batik x)))

  • Oh we've been censored. Thanks a lot moderator.

  • directed by Yasmin Ahmad, a well known Malaysian director- go youtube more of her ads and her movies... Glad that its done for Singapore, wishing Singaporeans could come up with more ads in this caliber.

  • This is the best ad to come from sg shores for ages.

  • how often do we get such awesome ad on SG tv?

really touching, great work from the people behind it

  • best sg advert ever!!!

  • bitter sweet, I cant help but love it!

  • damn sad, yet damn good ad..

  • its just awesomely perfect.

    i am touched.

  • this gotto be the best SG advert I must say. one of those that hit me.

  • Daring approach but overall delivery is good. The ending was very moving.
