My grandma died when I was 9. She was being more of a mom to me than my own mother, who just sees me as useless after my parents divorced. I was a spoiled child, but not like the others. I was actually happy. Children today never seem to be happy with their whatnot, but I was given so much: her cookies, her Spam ham, her soups, her warmth, her love that kids these days don't seem to care about. She died from a blood cancer; everything else I was used to was taken from me. Rest in peace, nana.

This is a song I've played quite a few times since my dear mom passed away a few months ago after battling cancer. She was a great person (you'd have loved her) and also my best friend. My mom passed away a little over a year ago and today it's her birthday... she was only 53, it's hard everyday and this song is such a beautiful love demonstration for all the moms in this world. my grandma passed away last year feb 12 this song was playing at her funeral and everyone in the church cried because they know they were gonna miss her.my grandma was a woman who fight for her rights.she was funny intellegent and enthusatic.now everytime i hear this song i cry and my head hurts.i love her no matter where she is i love u grandma

My grandma died when I was 9. She was being more of a mom to me than my own mother, who just sees me as useless after my parents divorced. I was a spoiled child, but not like the others. I was actually happy. Children today never seem to be happy with their whatnot, but I was given so much: her cookies, her Spam ham, her soups, her warmth, her love that kids these days don't seem to care about. She died from a blood cancer; everything else I was used to was taken from me. Rest in peace, nana.
