@ironyheartsap I know, I've only watched two episodes so far and already I feel as if I've been watching for years. It's something about the way the plot unfolds, and how well rounded the character arcs and development are planned out, not to mention the fact that it only took two episodes for me to figure things out. Usually, when I watch a TV show it takes an entire season or two to get me interested in the story, with Doctor Who it seems that you're hooked right from the start.

Well, I have watched the first two episodes of Series 5 and I can safely say, I didn't make a mistake. Never have I watched a show where I actually truly cared about the characters, but with Doctor Who you can't help but care about them. I mean the character development, the plot, the presentation it all comes together to form an excellent Television Series. Dare I say, better than any US Show I have watched in my opinion, and that is coming from an American, which has to say something.

I wish they would phase these Cybermen out already, the design is from the parallel universe. The REAL Cybermen should have a completely different design, and I'm guessing these are the real Cybermen because they have spaceships. This scene also annoyed me because it is out of character for The Doctor to blow things up and kill his enemies.

@DavijoBoy Not really, The whole point of this story arc was to show that the Doctor is still a warrior, changed forever by the Time War. He will go to great lengths to protect those he loves and if it means killing, he will do it.

Dont forget, The 10th Doctor told someone, I think it was Jenny and Donna, about what he did when he faught in the war.

"I faught and killed people during the war. Then I got clever and minipulated people into killing themselves."

He died and became a clone prior to marrying Amy and Melody was conceived afterwards on their wedding night. When the universe restarted he must have changed back.
