The Hindi version ending is much better than the Tamil version ending. I reckon the Tamil version ending is to vague where the main character is driving a

4WD with the medical student and sees a little girl crossing. Likewise the Hindi version, they show the character working in a orphanage centre named by Kalpana and opens the present which is the plaque from the new apartment. Then he kind of remembers and reunites with Kalpana, I don't know why Kalpana comes back but that's all what I know

Well I made teh comment after seeing teh tamil version and the Hindi one...

Usage of some profanities proves that you are not prepared to face the truth which is that yes Surya was awesome in the Tamil version however Aamir was also Awesome in his own special way and his nuances...

Also definitely the last 40 minutes were changes for the better otherwise it would have taken something to digest twin villains in the climax which was a bit foolish in the tamil version..
