  • hmm- goin under both legs is a good guard pass....

  • @OffspringFTW65 Judo hasn't beenaroumd for hundreds of years, it was founded in the late 19th century. doesn't make it any less awesome of course. Judo is my first love but BJJ has become something wonderful and all its own.

  • Es un ejemplo a seguir sus conocimientos, su tecnica ....ojala pudiera verte en abril aqui en galicia seria un privilegio un gran maestro

  • you people are dumb! how else would you pass without risking a sankaku

  • Many commentators here mistake "instructional video" with "real fight video". When teaching a child how to read, you do not give him the "Iliad" and say: read it for your examination next week. We teach simple words that he can relate to his daily life. Eventually, he will be able to read any piece of literature.

  • it does seem that there is a risk of triangle but he keeps his arm and body well back as he scoops the leg then quickly stacks crushing any sub attempt possibilities but thats a very lazy guard a more active guard would pose more danger for that type of pass

  • @MarcusDBrutus If Kashi doesn't want Uke to move............Uke won't move !!

  • Very nice videos :) i can't understand japanese, but can make out what he's showing. wish he could train me!

  • I just saw a copy/paste of this technique but as always the bjj guys said it's his invention jajaja Ne-Waza forever =)

  • look at that that is the coolest thing ever. this pass is the best pass i have ever seen. simple. sweet. devastating. the pin at the end...beautiful work.

  • I've never understood the objection to passing under the leg like this. I've had lots of guys try to throw the triangle, but as long as you control the hips and stack properly it's not happening. The trick is not to abandon this pass as "useless" too early in your training.

  • It does look like if you mess this up you are easily triangled.

    seems kinda risky

  • there is no way he can get a sankaku there for the turi has no waist movement to get it.....

an if you look closely he keeps body to body all the way tru........

im a 3kyu and can that clearly...............lol ''baka''

  • hello gyus, i do agree with tourismogamer; u need good control to try anything ( and he has it) ; there is always an option for counterattack whatever u do. trained with good bjj grapplers i would not try this approach with them ,but with all the rest it works when done like this qualified sensei.

  • BJJ or GJJ nothing metter, I have done those approch against BJJ and always works good.

    Best regards

    Kosen Judo

    Hirata kanae Dojo.

  • Putting your arm under someone's leg whilst in their guard is generally a death wish.

  • to an inexperienced grappler. To someone who has control like kashiwazaki then its not. That bloke makes everything look so easy.

  • not if you have proper posture...

  • kashiwazaki knee and elbow locked to the mat the other leg. So there is no space to go for a sankaku (triangle)

  • @Trixthor you can always tell who arent educated in these types of arts. I agree, something so simple as connecting your elbow to the knee stops the triangle atempt so effectively......

  • @Trixthor Its nice to see someone who knows what they're talking about on youtube.

  • @MarcusDBrutus Dude, Iv beent raining GRACIE jiujitsu for 2 years and until I found these videos I seriously thought Jiujitsu was know it all, but this has opened my mind and now I understand that the Judo guys, having been doing all the moves we think are "advanced" like butterfly guard, halfguard, open, spider, inverted, all that shit, It's all been done before in Judo, cuz judo has been around for hundreds and hundreds of years, Im gonna start studying it alot more now.

  • @MarcusDBrutus You can also pass their leg up and over your head, slamming their leg to the ground passing the guard. In this case, you've used their attempt at a triangle to open a guard pass.

  • I love your video!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • excellent point. match fighting and spontaneous fighting are totally different .....

  • So, what the problem...? Do you want to incresse your street techniques... Well, fight three time a week...

    Good luck!

  • My fave Judo dude! I have his book! WOOT!

  • triangle anyone?

  • try searching for sankaku jime, that's the japanese name

  • kagato jime is the go go plata in case u might not of known. Don't believe nino schembri invented he did not. He just revamped it.

  • it's all judo ...

  • Actually it is more likely he came up with it independently and refined it there.

Anyone that spends an appreciable amount of time training invents a hell of a lot of things, they just happen to have also been invented independently elsewhere.

  • good point. most guys are like "yeah it's like those Japanese have a different word for everything" .... rofl. gee they invented it after all. go figure.

  • i dont know

  • Great tips and guard passes i will try it today :D

  • Master SAN .. so DES!!! lol

  • Sugoi Kandoushita Thank You!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Master!! great newaza!
