  • @skilledsoccerkid what is

  • hahaha! did he stop and pee around 1:43?

  • Nice vid! You made the German Shepherd pup look AWESOME!!!!!

  • what an epic video! loved it

  • It's not about the video it is about the breed. I've own two shepherds. There are no free dogs. If you won't or can't send 300 dollars a year on a dog get a cat. If you think you have a bad GSD you need to understand you just suck!

  • i have the same one also 4 months now the doctor told me that he gsd's cant do stairs and allot of jumping beceause they have weak hips. but when i see this vid its like looking at my dog they look exactly the same.

  • @grammaboy1988

Thats a horrible way to treat a dog. Don't let them play and act like a dog because they are prone to bad hips. HA. So if you went to the doctors and they told you not to talk or eat or use your hands or walk or even remember stuff because humans are prone too loosing their memory/ mind, bad joints/hips, arthritis, rotten teeth, and so on then realistically you should be lying in a bed right now doing nothing. Give your dog up for adoption so he can be a GSD

  • @bglenn011

thats why working line german shepherds are the best- no ridiculously sloped backs and deformed hocks, very few hip problems

  • @grammaboy1988 Well a big problem is that they do have weak hips, but just like any human if you work your muscles and body you build strength. Same with Dogs, just keep them well exercised and they will stay healthy. My GSD is now 10 months old and ive talked to GSD owners that run their dogs a few hours a day and they never really had too many problems with hips. I play with mine ATLEAST 2 hours a day outside.

  • @berlinadler16 i also go out with my dog for 2 hours a day. i take him swimming allmost everyday. i never said anything about not letting my dog be free i just the doctor told me to watch out with the hips thats all and then some idiots comment on me that its a horrible way to treat my dog and that i should give him up for addoption... i mean come on?

  • dose you GSD have a streit bak or a slated one

german shpeherds only get bad hips if they ave slated backs if its streit it be fine

  • @jackrogers123456 i did not know that, its streit thank god :p i let him run and do all that shit to but im just carrefull with him thats all. thx man

  • @grammaboy1988 You are not worthy of having a dog. Give it up to a good home. These are WORKING dogs, bred and born to be active, energetic companions, protectors and friends. If you don't like this video, you surely won't like mine, because I train police dogs and sport dogs, so don't go to vonwoden.com and don't look for vonwoden channel on Youtube.

  • @grammaboy1988 You probably bought one from a back yerd breeder.

  • @grammaboy1988 my German Shepard was really sick to. Her name was Harley and she had paralyzation in her mouth so she couldnt open it. she was only 1 year old when the doctor told us that. and we put her on steroids to fight it and it went away but then it came back and we put her on the steroids again but her heart couldnt take it and one day she was pooping out blood and throwing up alot so my mom took her to the vet and her heart just stopped on the table. and i didnt even get to say goodbye.

  • @bl333hh123 wow... how sad =,( your poor dog poor you!! the same happened to my dog her name was charlie she was german sheperd/golden retriever mix adorable she started getting older and she got arthiritis not as bad but she couldnt get up any more one day while i was at school my grandma took her to the vet and they put hre to sleep =,( i didnt get to say goodbye either but wow your poor dog but i bet you have some good memories of her :D

  • @grammaboy1988 not every single german shepherd is prone to get hip displacia. some family lines carry it, some dont. your doctor is a moron.

  • @grammaboy1988 Depends on the bloodlines--some have weaker hips than others. If the parents were cleared it's probably fine, but regardless, a rule of thumb is to let a puppy or young dog rest often--most people will tell you not to force a puppy to walk long distances, especially on hard surfaces, until they're a year+ old. Running around in the woods is safer for the joints than forced road-marching :)

  • @grammaboy1988

I have a german shepherd of my own and what the vet said is that the hips get weak when they arrive at an old age -- so they can do all this kind os stuff as long as they don't exagerate. the doctor probably said it because a large amount of the owners don't respect the limits of the dog (but seriously, if the gsd's were that weak they wouldn't be so offtenly chosen to work with police).

  • anyone watchng this thinking of getting dog u can not get a more loyal, loving and rewarding dog than a GSD. had one when i was younger and after 13 years had to have her put down. Know 15 years later got another one from a rescue centre for my family despite having a bad start to his life he has fitted in to the family so well , have to work nights often and it helps to know he is there protecting my family... and beleave me without evening training a GSD they WILL protect .

  • Def not the best video ever

  • best dogs ever

  • best dogs in the world..... he looks and acts very smart

  • Crap video

  • This dog in action brings the following to mind: "I Need A Hero! I"m Holding Out For A Hero til The End Of The Night..."

Of course, there's the connection with Ace, The Bathound, and the rest of the Bat Squad...

  • BADASS!!!!! o my god thats halarious, your dog is like rambo!

  • that dog looks so damn heroic!!!!

  • Best German Shepherd and Video EVER!!!!!

  • i love it! sooo adorable.

  • AWESOME I LOVE IT SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a cute pup....great music. German Sheps rule!

  • Keep giving this dog attention and keep him/her busy. If a GS has nothing to do they can cause masssive destruction. I know. I have one.

  • cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute

  • I want one of these dogs so bad!!!!!!

  • Goodman i always do this with my puppies every summer hehe i have 4 German Shepherds

    Cheers

  • nice video :D how old is he at this video and he long on short hear !!!

  • --- expenting to see in the upcoming months ? What should i be ready for?

Oh also i was gonna ask u at what month or weeks is he ready for training like running with me or paw shaking and stuff like that?

Mines seems to be bored when in contact face to face with me as if he wants to do other stuff eat play with some thing or distractions ..What are good tips thanks!

  • Dude you are so right they hate getting watched going to the bathroom .. mines was crying like get the hell away then i left and sneak peaked him and he was pooping . (He is Smart dude i let him sleep in my room in the garage and leave my door open and he goes out to the garage were i just put newspaper on then he goes and handles his business there.. Just twice so far he peed on my carpet .

Yea man give me more tips and stuff Germans Shps do since mys is barely 8 weeks old. What am i ---

  • well too many questions to answer but ill try,

-his name is Deoh-G. the spelling of DOG. he is 100% german shepherd

-he was 4 months plus a couple days to be exact

-its very cool to see him mature and develope his personality

-he is a year and almost 4 months and over the summer got limes disease so his growth was stunted and is smaller than normal, a lightweight at 70 pounds. he was on meds and for the most part is 100%

  • @bglenn011 Thanks for sharing such a beautiful video. I am sorry to hear that your dog contracted Lyme Disease. I used to bring my GSD to the woods to hike as well but being in a very heavily tick populated area I'd have to go over her very carefully after our outings and would find 2-3 ticks every time.

  • @bglenn011 Listen to the vet, I hope he mentioned that lack of exercise is also bad for GSD. They are famous for hip dysplasia and it's sad to see. I have had to put a couple down because of it - heartbreak. Love my GSD's. Have one now. No longer a pup.

  • Good looking pup...I have a 1yr old ddr german shepherd (check my vid)

  • your just partial because he is yours.

  • OH also by the way how old is here for the most part in the video? like 4 months..?

  • HEy how long does it take for them to grow?

like to the point were they could start thinking mature like i can take em out for a run with me?

  • Mine it was almost in a blink of an eye! ONE MINUTE SHE WAS A CUTE PUP NEXT MINUTE HUGE! she so mature and obidient! i was walking her without a leash at 6 month old and she would never get more than 5 feet away from me! id say 8 month to be safe tho!

  • WOW! thats pretty inspiring what u said about walking her without a leash and she would not go more than 5 feet away.. Can u show me how u trained her to do so? I just bought my pup yesterday and he is like 7 weeks old.

    _Thanks!

  • To be truly honest with you I just started walking her one day and let her off the leash in the park and when I walked away she followed! they pick it up quick even the little guy in this video! you can see him constantly returning to his owner and he only runs when hes chasing the camera or being chased! thses dogs are so loyal to there owners which you will soon find out! they almost come trained right out of the box lol!

  • thses dogs are so loyal to there owners which you will soon find out!

_-^ LOL i could alredy tell my pup stays close to me almost every time im around it if i sit down he sits right next to me as if hes guarding me..

Yea i cant wait to see him as he gets older he will be more loyal .

    THANKS

  • @gordo33 Yea man thats awesome they pick it up really fast! trust me that dog would take a bullet for you!

  • Dude , no lie took my pup the other day to the park with no leash see if he would follow me guess what he did!!!

I always like so amazed i felt awesome . Most dogs i had like some chihuahas and crap they just get all happy and run all over but nope this guy was with me pretty much the whole time i ran and he followed . I will keep this up and by the time i know it he will be big and joining me on my tipical cardio run.

    Thanks craigpig

  • Thats awesome man! good too hear! yea keep up the good work and he will follow you anywhere! trust me I cant even have a shower with out my dog laying outside the door ahaha! great work man!

  • lol. Cool thats funny hes that close to you NICE!

Hey qestion if and when u have took him out to park etc is he scared of other people..? like is he socialized pretty good cuz mines is kind of scared of strangers he does not know.

  • Yea mine was kinda scared at first just make sure you introduce him to lots of people! get him to socialize little bits at a time he will come around eventually!

  • actually the 1st week i had my german shepherd he followed me outside but its not a good ideea bcause if he sees another dog he will probably chase it (german shepherds are no good with other dogs). im not saying that he will chase it for sure. just maybe but i would not take that chance

  • aww what a cutie ^_^ just like my gsd ^_^

  • nice puppy!

  • omg he is so cute ur so lucky

  • omg.. this puppy is soo smart.. i hope mine turns out like that :)

  • He is awesome in his mighty epic! Take drinking water so that he doesn't drink THAT water. Even the girls are so macho you can't just love on them at that age! You gotta love them remotely. SIGH! My boy is having his adventures now with his rock. YES, his rock. I can't stop watching this video. THE MUSIC title, Please????

  • Very good-looking pup obviously having a great time outdoors. Thanks for sharing.

  • Amateur video work, but still VERY NICELY done. Also, I would like to know the music. It went very well with the video. I could actually see a story behind it. He/she's a tough little guy/girl. My boy has just made 8 months old (and insane). Keep making you vids!

  • Cant you just say nice video.. Who cares if hes an amateur..

  • I can say whatever I like! I'm not insulting the author. In fact, that's a compliment. It's one of my favorite videos.

  • whats the name of the song? i love it. it goes well with the video.

  • i have the old fashioned German Shep they are called shilos

  • an im pretty sure they are just called Old German Shepherd Dogs lol

  • no actualy they are called pionere shepherds

  • lol by who?

  • by everyone who has one

  • lol sorry bro. what exactly do you mean by "old fashioned" german shepherd dogs so i can understand you better maybe

  • old fashiond german shepherds were the first german shepherds they had the long coat and they were used in world war 2

now they made them more agressive

  • Comment removed

  • Haven't heard of Pioneers?

  • aw how cute. looks just like my german shepherd

  • where you live at...near philly? or more central pa?

  • wow nice vid

  • @the people who dont always put their GSD on a leash:

Did u guys train him/her to not run at everything? Cuz I know mine will run towards people/dogs. Hes only 3months old

  • At 3 mths they're babies, Ice.. This puppy is a bit older, maybe 4 months?? They mature so fast. I think they went out and practiced a bit, without 'training'. He is such a natural and you wouldn't want to let him off leash any where else except an area checked out (for wildlife) and a puppy young enough to want to stick close. They do get rowdy early, though!

  • i have 2 GSDS!! I LOVE THEM!! We got molly from a friend's neighbor, and Tanner at a shelter. When I get older i do plan on owning more german shepherds.

If anyone wants to see my dogs their video is called 8/8/09.

  • I got my German Shepherd for 100$ pure breed. I was lucky! Most Shepherds sell for around 600$. They are very good dogs and very smart!

  • was this recent? I'm looking for a german shepherd. and Where?

  • I got my dog from Sukee Kennels in Main...cost me almost $3K but it was well worth it. He is pure bred german blood line. He has won AKC pedigree certification and I am currently working with him in shutzhound. He is the smartest most loyal dog ever. also the friendliest dog i have ever seen. I can take him anywhere out in public with out a leash and he always stays by my side. He really is my best friend and i highly recommend getting a GSD

  • also...I wouldnt recommend getting a GSD from a puppy farm or a pet store. I did that and he turned out to have a temper. You may luck out with a cheap dog, but if you want the sure thing i would go to a reputable breeder where you can meet both parents of your dog to see their temperament. That way you can also make sure that both parents are AKC registered and have good hip ratings. It will cost you but it is well worth it.

  • thx for the advice. that is a bit out of my price range, i found a gsd mix that i got yesterday, she is the sweetest thing but cant stand to be aaway from me, therefore im up early letting her sleep on my lap ha. shes dreaming ;)

  • i wouldnt say you may luck out with a cheap dog, i think the saying is, you got ripped off on your dog. I met both of my parents, papers and blood line. Nothin cheap about that

  • try kent i got some puppies in that area

  • who is the breeder and how much did he cost?

  • i got him from a family who had pups...he has papers and family line...his temper is nothing to worry about...he isnt almost a year and 70 pounds. I believe it is how you raise them and treat them for what they become. I dont have a fenced in yard or electric and he is rarely on the leash...never ran away or tried leaving except to the gate of my neighbors house to play with their dog. He cost 500 but i've probably spent 2 thousand or a lil more since i've had him....

  • I agree it depends how you raise them...properly socializing your dog is very important...however, many breeders in the U.S. these days are breeding for for more mellow family dogs rather than a true working dog.

  • its head looks too big for its body

  • Your brain is too small for your head/

  • soooo lucky beautiful coloring and so floppy

  • I have a shepard too , Her name is Khaya, you should enter him in my contest ( on youtube) just send me a response, just show off all his skills!!!!!

  • Any new Videos of him as he looks now?

  • your puppy is so cool, i cant waite intill the summer comes in nj usa so i can take walks in the woods with my puppy ,he is a gsd now he i 4 1/2 months old and 52lbs , since i got him in the winter iam waiting intill summer ,. mine is a lil darker , yours is awesome ....

  • We have woods and a creek like that behind our house and when our GSD Sparta went down there he refused to explore like that. He'd find a clearing and sit and whine until we brought him back to the yard.

How confident your boy is at this age. He's precious.

  • Looks like you got a wonderful confident young man there -he is very cool. I have had 2 GSDs (both died of old age) and think they are the best. Thanks for sharing

  • fuck i wish i lived close to woods so i can take also my german shepherd. Cool video man

  • Thatz a cool video! I had long wanted a german shepherd, they look so cute when they r a puppy and yet so handsome when they r an adult! But too bad i stay in an apartment and could not keep such a big dog:(

  • You are a very brave!! You and your dog are!! 5 stars!!

  • I really like the looks of your German Shepherd pup. Good Video. I want another just like yours. I had one that looked so close to your pup at that age. Sad that all good things come to a end. I had to put him down last year. He was 12 and a 1/2. Have a look at Richaroodledoodle if you are interested.

  • remeber gsds morph..but he is a good lookin pup

  • Awesome vid man! Very cool, wish I could make somthing like that w my gsd in it! Looks like a very happy dog, congrats

  • Man id kill to have the woods nearby... Ur pups gonna be nice n healthy having that much adventure, so to say....

  • Cute pup! He looks a tad overweight tho which is weird if you let him jump and run all over :P Maybe it's just me though because my purebred GSD was skinny all throughout puppyhood, and is a thin adult. Could never get him to gain weight!

Also, LOL @ the dramatic music, and goofy puppy <333

  • if you only knew...he had a weight problem a month before this was taken and didnt eat for the longest time, finally hes back in shape and perfect...

  • i love that part where he poses on his nicest pose and then after almost fall :D

  • EPIC

  • Any large breed can develop hip dysplasia. Let the puppy roam and climb all he wants. It's great you're exposing the pup to different environments. It will prove to be a more stable dog. You will have no problem with training. I've been around working/sports dogs for over 15 years. For the little time Ive seen this pup on video I can guarantee if you continue socializing it to different experiences and start obedience training now you will have a great dog for the rest of your life.

  • thanks for the tip my mom is trying to get me a german shepard and i want him to be healthy and happy and i want to train him a law enforcment so if we have a robber hes dead!:P

  • I agree, PLUS get him around other people and dogs, too!

  • so cool i remember my dog when he was a puppy now.

  • sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!

  • lol hes jumping like a bunny ^.^ nice video

  • You better watch out letting him climb stuff like that at such a young age.

German Shepherd are known for having sensitive heaps and you should protect them while they're at such a young age.

  • i love my puppyyyyyy hes such a good boy
