I live near london. Thats a gr8 fish, if you had a landing net you could hav landed it the first time it came to you. However. 6lb line an a soft rod, top fight!. i fish similar gear for barbel and chub in similar conditions with a real live lobworm bumped around the swim. Its gr8.
This is one of the best times to hit the water. Fishing high and turbid water anglers can expect fish to be on the bite since there isn't the predator pressure they feel when water runs clear. Fish just don't disappear when rivers blow out. They have to go somewhere. Read the water to find holding fish along the banks near eddies and slots created by fallen debris and large outcroppings.
