Blindside blocking is by chance not design. You take the best angle afforded to you.

No - attempting to injure a player rather than making a football play at any point is bad. When the player is clearly no longer involved in the play it is worse. You can watch this video and others - Hines Ward goes out of his way to catch players who think the play is over and are not prepared to take a hit.

There are plenty of great football players who were plenty physical (say Ronnie Lott) who never had to make the dirty and head-injury inducing plays that Hines Ward purposely goes for.

Hines Ward does not go out of his way to catch players who think the play is over. If the ball is in play and a defenseman is not ready to be blocked hard, how is that the blockers fault? Blindside blocking is by chance not design. You take the best angle afforded to you.

And Bart Scott? Were you high on crack when you watched that play? Willie Parker was in bounds when Hines hit Scott with the block. Even Scott conceded that fact. With all of his blocking all you can do is raise 2 instances. The blocking technique is irrelevant. It was legal at the time.

When you look at all the videos, especially the examples I listed, you'll see it's a trend. That's why so many of his worst blocks are at the end of the play or on a player far away from the play - he's looking to hurt guys for future plays, even when it doesn't help his team on the current play. Nice!! my favorite player of pittsburgh steelers! Hines Ward is the best!! im not much of a ben roethlisberger fan, hes good but he just sucks when it comes to under pressure.

Do u even know what ur talking about!!! Have u seen the last 2 games! they have came from behind in the 4th quator and Ben would scramble out of the pocket and run and get a first down. Then he would scramble again, and throw it for a touchdown
