@malcolmjacobson It's been a long time to get to here! There are a lot of predictions of traffic chaos and businesses going bankrupt every time there's a bike lane project here, and then it opens and no traffic chaos happens...
0:55 are temporary monitoring strips... go around in circles over them again and again to increase the amount of cyclists going up there and you might get better provisions :p
I suppose the grid system there makes it much easier to build stuff like this.
@drsquirrel0 Hehehe that could be fun. And yeah I bet the grid makes the design and construction of things like this simpler to do. The political will was probably the biggest hurdle though. The world was supposed to end when this was constructed.
Love this video, makes cycle tracks look more accessible than looking to the Netherlands and Dutch infrastructure!

Wow you guys are so lucky. Here in Wellington, NZ, I'd be happy to get a painted cycle lane on my 20 minute cycle commute to work!
