Hello Dear, Very melodious song. You have some great collection. I am listening these gold after long time. I thank you for sharing. One favourite song is missing from Chore Bazar and if you happen to come across than please do up load for us which is: DERE DERE PAY TUKREY HAY, KOI NAHI KINARA AAB MARI JINDAGI...... Lyric: Shakil Badayuni Music: Sarder Malik and Sung by Lataji
Sardar Malik was Anu Malik's father and married to Hasrat Jaipuri's sister. He sure knew REAL Indian music and yes, he was under-rated. He couldn't market himself well enough like SJ, SD, CR and Naushad.
Hui ye humse nadani teri mehfil mein aa bethe (2) Zameen si khak ho kar aasmanse dil laga bethe Teri mehfil mein aa bethe Huwa khooney tamana iska shikwa kya kare tumse (2) Ho shikwa kya kare tumse Na kuch socha na kuch samja jigar pe teer kha bethe Teri mehfil mein aa bethe Khabar kya thi gulistan e muhobbat mein bhi khatre hai (2) Muhobbat mein bhi khatre hai Jahan ghirte hai bijli hum usi dali pe ja bethe Teri mehfil mein aa bethe
Sardar Mallick was one of the most underrated composers in Bollywood. His movies were not box-office smashes, but musically they were superb. He never failed with his music. And EMI India never released a collection of his music - which he so much deserved. The destruction by EMI India of the original music masters and tapes destryed the musical treasures from 40's, 50' and 60's. Most hurt by this were Talat Mahmood, Sajjad, Sardar Mallick, Khaiyyam, Mohd Shafi, jaidev, op Nayyar, Nashaad, many
The mother of all "jashan" movie sequence songs is his "Daiyyare daiyya ek kanhaiyya" from Saranga. In terms of musical quality, lilting happy beat, chorus back-up, filmization and sheer exuberant energy, this song can't be beaten. "Hotonpe aisi baat main dabati chali aayi" from Jewel Thief comes close - but not quite. This is still the tops.
Will anyone post more of Lata-Sardar Malik Songs? Can anyone sing like Lata......wow, just listen how she has sung..."Teri Mehphil mai aa baithe..." at the end of every antara...simply suberb......
