  • Heard it on "Thistle and Shamrock" and could hardly contain myself! Reminds me of "Blue Rhonda ala Turk", energy and rhythm, anyway. Definitely interested in discovering more about Chris Stout Quintet. Loved this video, too - want to see more creative videos, not just performance videos.

  • Oh, and I forgot to add... Thomas Rohrer's sax playing just transcends this music onto another plain.

  • I wrote some time ago on here that I bought the album 'Devil's Advocate' on the strength of this piece. I can now say that the album is an absolutely all time favourite and on heavy rotation. Highly recommended. It doesn't get much better than this. xx

  • It's a blen of Jazz, Shetland, Scandinavian & Celtic Rhytms

  • i was just checking scottish bands i'd seen mentioned in the paper, among them " the chris stout theory", and thus discovered this tune. it's quite a discovery. i also watched a chris and catriona thing, smuggler's something (!) (sorry) whch was also great.

  • Love this, great to hear the fusion of traditional folk and jazz. Refreshing to hear boundaries pushed. Thanks for sharing this; I've just bought his album on the strength of this. 5 stars.

  • Ahh, what a gem. Cheers for this, Catriona!
