who was that elderly gentleman on the side of the newscaster ah for the days when the news was read by people who looked like they had a personalty of their own unlike these days when its read by a stream of clones who look like theyve come out of the same bbc coperate pool and embody a persona of fake youthfullness

even the titles are crap these days nothing distinctive just a lot of noise

for me april 1993 was a sad time for me when these titles dissapeared for goood. On 30th October 2006 these should ve been used again to mark the 20th edition of bbc daytime although 27th was a Friday i would've prefered the Monday. Maybe the shouldve used for the full week 30th Oct - 3 nov 06
