@sess441 Radar, avionics, new tech, more weapons payload of newer class, better and more powerful jet engine - the latest is the BM class which features a new glass cockpit. MiG-25 made in the late 60's and used throughout the 70's and 80's but this was made late 70's to replace the already legendary Foxbat with a new name (NATO standard) Foxhoud and still carries out its duty. No class of aircraft in the west like it :) SR-71 used to be the fastest now this is the fastest in the world!

@sess441 FYI just so noone pisses their pants..I meant to say SR-71 next to the X-15 are still the fastest they're just no longer operational. Though the Blackbird has been time to time retired and then brought back in, retired and then back again...so all in all great Cold War legends that still play a viable role in todays digital battlefield :)

This plane is awesomely powerful and was very advanced for its time, and the MiG-31BM is still a capable BVR interceptor to this day
