  • U gotta tell us wat ur using man!

  • Nice tone, it would be really nice if you could post your setup heard in this video!

  • What equipment did you use!!

    YOU ROCK

  • thick creamy tone... good!

  • por que só sai som do lado direito???

  • Is it just me or is this panned hard right?

  • if you put in headphones, it is only coming out of the right channel. you can remove all of the bass and it gives your tone a distance kind of sound

  • It's all about the detail in the sound.

  • WTF DID YOU USE

  • I almost thought it was actually Jimmy Page playing but thinking again no one beats Jimmy Page. GREAT work though keep up the great guitar playin', ROCK ON!

  • dude, tell me the secret, ur whole set up and guitar? i will do anything ! tell me ! pleaseee!

  • what equipment did you use!!!?

  • WOW! I agree, It is the Page Sound.

  • check out reeves custom 50 'jimmy' amp

  • It's an ok of an amp, but does not really sound like Jimmy's. But ir's a good all purpose amp.

  • great work

1:15, beginning sounds just like page at some live gig

awesome, especially since i love the over the hills begining

  • that sounds cool. Good job!!

  • thanks....

  • What equipment did you use?

  • are you using a jtm45?

  • i was playing over the hills and far away about 3 sec before you started playing

  • Hey your pretty good your just like me i can play all of those songs you played except for immigrant song and heartbreaker. Jimmy page is an awesome song I played the solo to black dog today for hours to practice it and with 2 step bends my fingers kill.

  • what song was that again at 0:15 sounds familiar

  • out on the tiles or some shit

  • @TheMaidenMike out on the tiles

  • nice playing, man.

  • Burstbuckers ??? modded SLPs??? JPs live sound was crafted w/ his HiWatt signature model ,STOCK JTM45/100 ,67&68 SupBass & SupLeads,Colorsound or Sola Sound Tone Bender ,w/Roger Mayer mods, LPs were loaded w/ PAFs & T-Tops, prior to 70 it was all Tele...You can't get your amps from the big names these days...Marshalls are a joke...You need a replica... Metro Amps for the plexis , Reeves for the HiWatts, & 3 Monkeys for the Supros & just plain everything..All these amps rule ...You sound great.

  • Good job buddy! here's a note to everybody, if you want the real jimmy page tone you need a Marshall 1959slp modded with kt88 tubes, Gibson Les Paul 59 model with Burstbucker pro Humbuckers with 4 conductor wire. So the coils can be split. 4 push/pull potentiometers for coil splitting and phasing and last but not least Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 0.10 strings

  • I'm pretty sure Jimmy Page used el34s in his super lead until very late in Zeppelin.

  • i have el34's in my tube amp and when i set the presence high and the treble at 12 and bass full up and i use an mxr clean boost i get pretty close only on certain songs

  • I believe at one point he had KT88s installed into one of his main Marshall heads as well.

  • 59 slp model how much does that cost? and i use 9's

  • I saw one in a music store. It was $1700 for the head and $700 for the cabinet.

  • he didnt use the split coils until after zeppelin

  • @WindyFellow Not true. I distinctly see Page using push/pull pots in the 1979 Kebworth concert videos. And he always uses out-of-phase tones a lot.

  • Thats not true the quality is too good, the style is almost perfect apart from a few little things

  • Thanks for watching!!!

  • What kind of Epiphone Les Paul? The $300 ones or the $500 ones?

  • sounds great dude!!

when will u reveal the secret??

    lookin' forward to it..

  • They will be soon. Sub and you will all find out when. Not much longer..... No Joke.

  • Sounds like you nailed it

    :D

  • This video is amazing. Almost identical to Jimmy's tone, very good work!

  • Secret is the hardest part of getting Page tone is in the playing. Obviously a tube amp is important but I think 60% of page tone is in the player himself.

  • Thanks for watching. Pages used Original T-top pickups with a certain ohm reading not to high and nor low. Burstbuvkers are good. But you are better to get the Page tone with original T-tops. Will explain more soon.

  • All my secrets will be told soon. That I will promis. When the time is right.

  • its really close but not quite there. 5/5 *

  • I TOTALLY agree! That's it! I uploaded a very similar comment but the site didn't load it more. Btw, alex is right

  • gibson burstbucker 1 for the bridge, burstbucker 2 for the neck

  • astonishingly accurate.

  • Sounds pretty spot on on most of these examples, great tone, tell us about it if you don't mind giving away some secrets, mods etc.

  • Thank you. I use a non stock Marshall half stack. A few Les Paul's of course. Thats I can say for the moment, one day I will reviel all my secrets when the time is right. I just need to do more research to get that exact tone of Jimmy Page.

  • Man now and days it hard to tell what kind of gear you use because the make gear that sound like the original stuff. Man this some good as playing up and here.

  • This tone is so sexy! Marshall 1959 Plexi right? Any effects? (wah-wah) or it just the amps natural sound?
