hi friend, first of all you play guitar very well, and second we would greatly appreciate if you tell me is using pedal or put on bass, threble, mid, pressencia?
I almost thought it was actually Jimmy Page playing but thinking again no one beats Jimmy Page. GREAT work though keep up the great guitar playin', ROCK ON!
Hey your pretty good your just like me i can play all of those songs you played except for immigrant song and heartbreaker. Jimmy page is an awesome song I played the solo to black dog today for hours to practice it and with 2 step bends my fingers kill.
Burstbuckers ??? modded SLPs??? JPs live sound was crafted w/ his HiWatt signature model ,STOCK JTM45/100 ,67&68 SupBass & SupLeads,Colorsound or Sola Sound Tone Bender ,w/Roger Mayer mods, LPs were loaded w/ PAFs & T-Tops, prior to 70 it was all Tele...You can't get your amps from the big names these days...Marshalls are a joke...You need a replica... Metro Amps for the plexis , Reeves for the HiWatts, & 3 Monkeys for the Supros & just plain everything..All these amps rule ...You sound great.
Good job buddy! here's a note to everybody, if you want the real jimmy page tone you need a Marshall 1959slp modded with kt88 tubes, Gibson Les Paul 59 model with Burstbucker pro Humbuckers with 4 conductor wire. So the coils can be split. 4 push/pull potentiometers for coil splitting and phasing and last but not least Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 0.10 strings
i have el34's in my tube amp and when i set the presence high and the treble at 12 and bass full up and i use an mxr clean boost i get pretty close only on certain songs
Secret is the hardest part of getting Page tone is in the playing. Obviously a tube amp is important but I think 60% of page tone is in the player himself.
Thanks for watching. Pages used Original T-top pickups with a certain ohm reading not to high and nor low. Burstbuvkers are good. But you are better to get the Page tone with original T-tops. Will explain more soon.
Thank you. I use a non stock Marshall half stack. A few Les Paul's of course. Thats I can say for the moment, one day I will reviel all my secrets when the time is right. I just need to do more research to get that exact tone of Jimmy Page.
Man now and days it hard to tell what kind of gear you use because the make gear that sound like the original stuff. Man this some good as playing up and here.
what gear you used?

if you put in headphones, it is only coming out of the right channel. you can remove all of the bass and it gives your tone a distance kind of sound

I'm pretty sure Jimmy Page used el34s in his super lead until very late in Zeppelin.

I believe at one point he had KT88s installed into one of his main Marshall heads as well.

59 slp model how much does that cost? and i use 9's
ledzeppelinzoso 2 years ago
I saw one in a music store. It was $1700 for the head and $700 for the cabinet.
scarfacedan09 2 years ago
he didnt use the split coils until after zeppelin
WindyFellow 2 years ago 9
@WindyFellow Not true. I distinctly see Page using push/pull pots in the 1979 Kebworth concert videos. And he always uses out-of-phase tones a lot.
